People often say everything is fair in love and war. This is not just a saying; it is a statement that gives birth to many evil activities that people often justify in the light of this saying.
Whenever people suffer from any type of problems in their personal or professional life due to someone or something else, then they carry out something mischievous, and that is often bad or even deadly for them on whom these are practiced on.
In some cases, people take help of black magic, a process of putting evil forces into the act of causing harm to their rivals.
Many people do not believe in black magic, but the impact of these activities is often felt by the people around us.
You may find hundreds of stories where someone closer to your home or heart has faced a terrible amount of consequences that are caused by black magic.
A lot of people claim to have felt the adverse effects of these ‘Totkas’ in their lives. We all know and have quite an idea that some mantras have good effects on our body so there must be some bad mantras too which can harm us.
It is a conventional fact that lemons are very much effective while performing the activities of witchcraft. People who practice black magic use lemons to capture the evil. It is advised that once used they are supposed to be thrown at a place where people might not step over for they tend to invite the bad energy on anyone who does it. It is also believed that the spirit that is attached to a curse or a spell is most likely to be carried or captured in a lemon.
Apart from the several beliefs, there are mythological reasons behind using lemon, it helps to keep goddess Alakshmi, or Jyestha at bay. Alakshmi is the sister of Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of well-being and fortune. Alakshmi is regarded as the total opposite of her sister and holds responsible for all the bad fortunes and miseries that prevail. She is very much fond of sour and pungent things and that’s why lemons attract the Goddess. The Goddess curses the bearer with poverty and misfortune. She casts the curse in the lemon so that when the bearer eats or steps onto that particular lemon, all the misfortune passes on to him.
Since lemon is tender and quite easy to jab, wizards find it easier to insert pins into it. Insertion of pins is the main reason that actually hurts the person upon whom the black magic is being performed. Partial insertion causes a physical disability and complete insertion causes death, as per the legends. This is one of the central reasons why lemons are used in black magic.
On the scientific front, lemons are used since they can heal the place of bad smells and have medical properties too. Also they are mostly available almost everywhere, all through the year. Wizards do not need to go on a hunt and hence, it is their first choice.
