Energy Healing is becoming more popular as many people are experiencing the benefits of deep relaxation and lowered stress & pain. Energy healing is a gentle yet powerful healing approach that can easily be integrated into occupational therapy practice and health care to enhance an individual’s life on many levels. Energy healing is being used more in hospitals, clinics, and private practice as it can help with health, wellness prevention, recovery from illness, and decrease length of stay.

Energy medicine recognizes energy as a vital, living, moving force that determines much about health and happiness. In energy medicine, energy is the medicine, and energy is also the patient. You heal the body by activating its natural healing energies; you also heal the body by restoring energies that have become weak, disturbed, or out of balance. Energy medicine is both a complement to other approaches to medical care and a complete system for self-care and self-help. It can address physical illness and emotional or mental disorders, and can also promote high-level wellness and peak performance.

Our subtle anatomies are comprised of the Aura, Meridians, and Chakras.
These subtle energy systems correspond to our plane of existence in a hierarchy that culminate our physical form.

For centuries, Eastern medicine has recognized the importance of keeping the energy systems of our subtle bodies flowing positively for optimal health and well being, while more recently Western civilizations have been taking notice of our metaphysical connections and exploring the powers that contain and surround the physical body.

Everything in creation is made up of electromagnetic energy vibrating at different frequencies that correspond to sound, light and color. The existence of electromagnetic fields around every object in the world – known as an Aura – is a scientifically proven fact. The Chinese refer to this energy as ‘Chi’ (pronounced Chee), The Indians refer to this energy as ‘Prana Shakti’,  the vital life force energy of the Universe, present within every living thing. Western medical science is now beginning to take a serious look at ancient Far Eastern traditions that focus on Prana Shakti / Chi, the life force energy which flows through the body pathways – known as meridians and chakras – of all living forms, all beings, in order to maintain health and wellness, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Let us look into the Meridians, Chakras and Aura.

  •  The Meridians: In the way an artery carries blood, a meridian carries energy. As the body’s energy bloodstream, the meridian system brings vitality and balance, removes blockages, adjusts metabolism, and even determines the speed and form of cellular change. The flow of the meridian energy pathways is as critical as the flow of blood. No energy, no life. Meridians affect every organ and every physiological system, including the immune, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, skeletal, muscular, and lymphatic systems. Each system is fed by at least one meridian. If a meridian’s energy is obstructed or unregulated, the system it feeds is jeopardized. The meridians include fourteen tangible channels that carry energy into, through, and out of your body. Your meridian pathways also connect hundreds of tiny, distinct reservoirs of heat and electromagnetic energy along the surface of the skin.
  • The Chakras: The word chakra translates from the Sanskrit as disk, vortex, or wheel. The chakras are concentrated centers of energy. Each major chakra in the human body is a center of swirling energy positioned at one of seven points, from the base of your spine to the top of your head. Where the meridians deliver their energy to the organs, the chakras bathe the organs in their energies. Each chakra supplies energy to specific organs, corresponds to a distinct aspect of your personality, and resonates (respectively, from the bottom to the top chakra) with one of seven universal principles having to do with survival, creativity, identity, love, expression, comprehension, or transcendence. Your chakras also code your experiences in their energies, just as memories are chemically coded in your neurons. An imprint of every emotionally significant event you have experienced is believed to be recorded in your chakra energies. A sensitive practitioner’s hand held over a chakra may resonate with pain in a related organ, congestion in a lymph node, subtle abnormalities in heat or pulsing, areas of emotional turmoil, or even tune into a stored memory that might be addressed as part of the healing process.

Each energy body has a set of chakras and there is constant debate about how many energy bodies and chakras there are.

1st Chakra or Root Chakra governs grounding to earth.

2nd Chakra or Sacral Chakra governs creativity and sexuality.

3rd Chakra or Solar Plexus Chakra governs personal power and will.

4th Chakra or Heart Chakra governs love.

5th Chakra or Throat Chakra governs communication.

6th Chakra or Third Eye governs intuition and psychic gifts.

7th Chakra or Crown Chakra governs connection to Spirit and to the Creator.

  •  The Aura:  Human beings are very complex energy fields. Your aura basically is the electromagnetic energy field that surrounds your energy fields, bodies, parts and particles. It is multi-dimensional in nature and has many layers. Every living being has an aura – the planet has an aura, each plant has an aura, an ant has an aura, etc. There are many layers to the human aura. The first layer of the human aura is the physical body and energy field. The next layer out of the aura is the etheric level. The next layer out of the aura would be the emotional level. The next layer out of the aura is the mental level. And the next layers out of the aura are for the spiritual bodies and energy fields.

Your aura is a multi-layered shell of energy that emanates from your body and interacts with the energies of your environment. It is itself a protective atmosphere that surrounds you, filtering out many of the energies you encounter and drawing in others that you need. Like a space suit, your aura protects you from harmful energies. Like a radio antenna, it brings in energies with which it resonates. The aura is a conduit, a two-way antenna that brings in energy from the environment to your chakras and that sends energy from your chakras outward. When you feel happy, attractive, and spirited, your aura may fill an entire room. When you are sad, despondent, and somber, your aura crashes in on you, forming an energetic shell that isolates you from the world. Some people’s auras characteristically reach out and embrace you. Others keep you out like an electric fence. A study conducted by Valerie Hunt, a neurophysiologist at UCLA’s Energy Fields Laboratory, compared “aura readings” with neurophysiological measures. The auras seen by eight practitioners not only corresponded with one another, they correlated with wave patterns picked up by electrodes on the skin at the spot that was being observed.

Clairvoyants have developed their inner vision to the point that they can see the various layers of the aura – physical, etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.  Since our auras are so energetically complex sometimes psychics tap into different areas of awareness and see different things

Meridians: The Body’s Energy Pathways| Nadis| Energy Healing

For centuries the ancient wisdom keepers and healers in several traditions had a keen understanding of the energetic body. The healing traditions from China, India, Japan and Tibet, as well as other countries all spoke of energy channels, meridians or nadis along which the vital energy flowed.

meridiansLife was considered to be a bio-electrical and vibrational energy phenomenon and so health revolved around balancing energy through various means. Life existed because of life force and energy running through and animating the body, ensuring we can move, breathe, digest food, think and even feel.

This vital life force or chi, is composed of two kinds of forces, yin and yang, and flows along a sophisticated network of energy pathways, or highways, circuiting the body. Over 2000 years ago ancient cultures knew of the existence of these energy channels. They were called ‘sen’ in Thailand, ‘nadis’ in India, ‘meridians’, ‘channels’ or ‘vessels’ in China and Japan, and ‘channels’ in Tibet. In India, where many eastern healing arts developed, there were said to be 72 000 nadis or energy pathways. Disease is believed to be a blockage in the energy flow of these channels. A range of healing traditions, including acupuncture, acupressure, massage and yoga, are founded on the principle of the existence of energy channels or pathways, known as meridians, or nadis, running around the body in an expansive network.

MERIDIANS are a major concept in Chinese Medicine.

Chinese Medicine practitioners help people to become healthy again, and to remain healthy, utilizing herbs and physical medicine, such as acupuncture, acupressure, and tuina.  Rather than relying on anatomy and physiology in the Western sense, Chinese medicine focuses on how the energy flows throughout the body.

Accidental discovery leads to a comprehensive approach to healing.

Thousands of years ago, they discovered that energy flows in an orderly manner through channels they called meridians. Moreover, the flow of energy could be influenced by putting pressure and/or heat on points along these channels.  They named these points acupoints.

Lore has it that some soldiers pierced by arrows during battle noticed that some of their old ailments disappeared.  Over time, these points were mapped, leading to the discovery of this network of energy pathways, the meridians.

The meridian system may be likened to the electric wiring in our homes and businesses.

A Western analogy might be the electrical wiring in our homes and businesses that carries electricity to wall outlets where we plug in our home, business, and recreation appliances, and to the light sockets where we screw in our light bulbs.  Only, the meridian system is much more sophisticated and versatile.

The meridians form a complicated circuit of energy pathways that move up and down the body near the surface, but also enter deep into the body to connect with each other and supply the organs, and other body structures, with energy.

Energy can flow smoothly and orderly, or it can get stuck in places, leaving some places oversupplied and others undersupplied.  Where we have too much energy, we experience heat, congestion, and pain or discomfort.  Where the energy is low, we feel tired, cold, and weak..

When stimulating the acupoints with needles (acupuncture), finger tips (acupressure), or heat & herbs (moxa), the energy starts flowing again and the entire system becomes energetically more balanced.  That’s the general idea behind acupuncture, or acupressure.

Western medicine acknowledges that acupuncture can be very helpful for pain management.  However, acupuncture can help with many conditions by helping to balance the flow of energy.

The meridians are a physical component of our bodies.

The meridians appear to be embedded in the connective tissue, which weaves through and envelops every cell, tissue, and organ, as well as body structures, such as blood and lymph vessels, nerves, and meridians.

Connective tissue (fascia, tendons, ligaments, etc) can vary from a gel like substance to hard as bone.  In fact, bone is considered a specialized form of connective tissue.  Connective tissue binds structures together, creates space (compartments) for all the structures, and moves (conducts) body fluids, nerve stimuli, and energy through it.

We cannot see meridians with our bare eyes, or feel their structures with our bare hands.  However, the meridians have been visualized  (Pierre de Vernejoul, 1985, University of Paris) by injecting a radioactive dye into the meridian points and observing the dye move along the paths that the Chinese Medicine practitioners had mapped out thousands of years ago.  Moreover, the experiment confirmed that the energy flows only in one direction within a meridian.

The meridians bring primal energy to every cell in our bodies.

Energy supports life.  Without it, nothing moves.  The body’s cells make their own energy every moment of life in their energy factories, called mitochondria.  However, they can not do so without being energized themselves by some form of primal energy source.  That is the mystery of life that we have not been able to solve yet.

Congested meridians can make the body vulnerable to many health conditions.

Some examples are fibromyalgia, allergies, asthma, lung disease, indigestion, constipation, cardiovascular disease, difficulty breathing, aches and pain, and many more.  It is therefore important to keep these energy channels free and clear.

Acupressure and acupuncture are the Chinese approach.  In the Western world, craniosacral therapy and energetic unwinding are very well suited to doing so by helping the body to release the restrictions in the connective tissue and thus help to fully open up the meridians.

The meridian system

There are 12 primary paired meridians and two single mid meridians, six yang and six yin. The yang meridians run down the body and the yin meridians flow up the body. Each meridian is also related to an element. Each meridian is most active at a certain time of the day or night and each meridian is influenced by an element or season.

The nature of meridians, in their elemental structure, and as vessels for the life force, show the intricacy and profound connection of our body at a cellular level, to the universe. We are intimately connected by the elements, energetic structure and flow of energy, to all life, at a cellular, physical level. Our earth is also said to have energetic pathways or ley lines, akin to meridians.

How are meridians related to health?

Our bodies need balance. A balanced flow or energy, not too much or too little, is conducive to good health. This is the same in the way we live our lives. Balance is paramount. Just enough food, water and a healthy balanced lifestyle. As the Buddha said: “middle way” or moderation in all things.

We can see this harmony and balance in life, as the balance between the energies of yin and yang – or more simplistically, masculine and feminine – the two opposing and catalyzing energies of the universe.

In our bodies we need balance, not too much or too little. Our health is vibrant if there is harmony and balance between these two forces in the body. If the balance is disturbed, and the flow of one of these forces becomes greater than the other, then illness arises. These forces or energies flow through very definite channels in the body, or meridians, and these are the body’s healing energy pathways.

In traditional Indian medicine, the meridians are expanded upon. There are nadis found within the physical body and these nadis make up the nervous system, the circulatory system, the digestive system, the respiratory system, the lymphatic systems, etc. Any blockages in these nadis can result in physical health conditions. Nadis can also be found in the subtle body where they carry thoughts, feelings, and nerve impulses. When these nadis are blocked, we lose our ability to feel, and connect deeply with others, the environment and ourselves. In the same way that veins and arteries are important for the body to function, nadis weave through our physical nerves and the matrix of consciousness that circuits the mind and self, supporting our physical expression from the otherworldly dimensions of existence.

Chi is made up of two kinds of forces, yin and yang. When the flow of energy is blocked, it causes low energy and illness. Practices like yoga, meditation and energy healing work on these subtle energy channels, supporting the flow of energy through the body. According to some ancient indian texts there are 350 000 nadis or energy pathways in the body. In traditional Indian medicine and spiritual science, the energies of the physical body, the subtle body and the causal body are said to flow through the nadis. Within this framework, the nadis are said to connect at special points of intensity called nadichakras.

ida pingala sushumnaThe three most important nadis are those running along the spine: ida, pingala and sushumna. The Sushumna is the central channel of energy in the human body and it runs from the base of the spine to the crown of the head and carries kundalini energy, which is the primal evolutionary force. Kundalini is awakened through yoga and meditation and is said to lie dormant at the base of the spine. Activation of the kundalini leads to higher consciousness states. The aim of yoga is to broaden the sushumna and to unite the pathways. Purifying all three nadis leads to overall health, and wellness of body and mind, as well as spiritual growth. Various Pranayama techniques aid in helping to keep these nadi channels open.

The three most important nadis are those running along the spine: ida, pingala and sushunma.

If you are sensitive to energy and have had energy treatments, such as energy healing, you may have felt streams of energy or a flow of cold or heat, for example, up the legs or arms. This is a freeing up of energy in the meridians and the flow of energy that is released when a blockage is removed.

There are many wonderful healing modalities based on the meridian system that support radiant health. By enhancing the flow of energy through the body, balance and health is achieved and we come in touch with our true selves. Acupuncture is a therapeutic modality used in China as early as the late stone age. It was used to treat all ailments affecting people. Acupuncture did not enter modern Western consciousness until the 1970’s when China ended a period of isolation and resumed foreign political and cultural contacts.

The range of applications for energy healilng has grown slowly in the West, possibly because of the belief that it has no scientific basis.  Perhaps now with the scientific proof of meridians, energy healing will become more widespread for all ailments, along with other great healing modalities based on the energetics of the body, supporting more people to have vibrant health and wellbeing.

Aura & Chakras | Meridians |How they work | Distant Healing|

What is Aura and Chakras?

Aura is a field of subtle luminous energies surrounding your body. These energies generate, hold and project your thoughts, emotions and beliefs. When your energy is harmonious you will experience peace and tranquillity, joy, sense of wellbeing. But if you are under stress, hold self limiting beliefs and other blocks within your energy field they will be projected into your life as self destructive patterns, difficulties, arguments and other negative experiences. Some times we are not even aware of the limitations and blocks we are holding on to, and if we could become aware of them and adjust our thoughts and emotions accordingly we would effectively be removing those negative influences from our lives and begin projecting a different reality, one that we get to choose consciously.

In very simple terms, Chakras are energy centres which connect our subtle energy bodies with each other and channel life energy to our physical being via the energy network called meridians.

Most people assume that chakras and auras are two different names of the same energy but that’s simply not true. They’re connected and can influence each other, but they’re not the same. There are seven chakras in our body and all of them have their own colors. The chakras have a fixed location and they don’t move. You can consider them gateways that control and direct spiritual energy.

Auras are different. While chakras are present inside your body, aura is present around it. It’s like a field around your body that emits energy outward instead of channeling it inward. Auras always have seven layers and emit different colors that reflect your personality, mood, and general health.

Aura is the energy that surrounds everything, living and non-living. Non-living things have a slight aura that is equal to the energy being emitted. A hot table will give off a stronger aura than a cold table; a wood table will put out a stronger aura than a glass table. With living creatures, there are seven layers to this egg-shaped energy.

Each aura layer is directly associated to a charka. The first layer, which is the closest to your body, is connected with the base or first chakra. Each additional layer will appear further from your body, completing the sphere with the seventh layer which is associated with the crown chakra. Most people who are “healthy” will have an aura that can extend beyond their bodies in all directions. When people are feeling depressed, sick or emotionally unhealthy, the aura has a tendency to stay fairly close to the body for extra protection.

Do Chakras and Auras Influence Each Other?

Yes, they do. Your energy can’t really be fully contained. It will escape your body and influence your surroundings. While the energy within your body is controlled and directed by chakras, some of it does leak out and form an aura around us. If there’s a disturbance in the chakras, the leaked energy will corrupt your aura. If you’re surrounded by a corrupt aura, it will influence the chakras. This is a cycle that would keep going until you correct the imbalance and heal your aura.

Auras are a Reflection of Your Mood and Intent

Auras are energetic fields that emanate from the body in a rainbow of hues, and it is somewhat of a tattletale concerning your current state, mood, and way of being. Auras can change as quickly as chameleon depending on your current situation, and they can be adjusted consciously by practiced individuals. These luminous fields of energy surround every individual, a halo of colors that can only be detected by a master intuitive, often by using their Third Eye.

The auras serve as a mood ring of sorts and are affected by not only your state of mind, but that of those around you. If you work in a high stress office surrounded by Type A personalities, your aura may feel theirs pushing against yours if it is weakened; hence, why maintaining a strong aura is essential. An example of energy fields colliding is often seen when people are in love. Lovers’ auras brush against one another and combine into a great field of light when the two are together. Even as they depart, a bit of their partner’s aura clings to theirs.

You can often tell as an average human what type of aura someone has…those with strong auras are very charismatic, can draw a crowd, and have a strong presence. Think celebrities and politicians. Now think about that shy, anxious, withdrawn person who gets easily intimidated by those with thick, strong auras. These individuals have thin, weak auras.

The Chakras Tell the Story of Your Life

Chakras reflect the NOW in your life, and these energy centers are anchored within specific regions of the human body. Chakra means ‘spinning wheel’ in Sanskrit, and each of the chakras has a correlating color just as the auras do. These energy centers work together and ‘communicate’ with each other, so when one or more is blocked, the spinning or activation of the chakra is impaired. In turn, this can affect other chakras, causing slight imbalances that hamper emotional and physical wellbeing.

Emotional healing intuitives can often see the chakras, identify shrunken ones that are impaired, open ones that indicate blockages, and identify those with pinpricks of light which often indicate depression. Healing the chakras requires REAL life changes and effort, whereas auras can be changed on a dime. Clearing and balancing the chakras will in turn support your aura!

Why is a chakra important?

Each chakra tends to be primarily related to certain organs, glands, and life issues. Physical and emotional traumas create pain and therefore a negative energetic “charge” in the associated center or chakra. When this happens a block can be created in which fresh life force (chi, energy, light) is unable to flow freely through the chakra.

Our physical body rejuvenates and energizes itself with food, water, breathing, and receiving universal energy. The chakra is the unseen organ that exchanges energy for the body. Fresh energy is drawn into the body and it is this flow of energy that provides energetic nourishment to the organs and glands. Each chakra supports physical well-being by providing vitality to the physical body as well as psychological and emotional balance. If too much or too little energy is focused in a particular chakra, our ability to receive, experience and express the related concepts and emotions is impaired.

Energy Healing use a gentle touch to balance the energy to support a free flow of energy, which helps to create an energetic balance and eliminate the block. This method works with self-healing as well as for client work.

Chakra Characteristics:

OUT OF BALANCE OR NON-FUNCTIONAL: Energy flow in the chakra is sluggish or is not absorbed and released in a balanced manner. If a chakra is not balanced, or if the energies are blocked, the energy flowing into the body will be slowed down or not absorbed into the body. This means that the feelings and experiences associated with that chakra are being incorporated into one’s experience.  Not only are physical bodily functions affected, which may allow diseases to manifest, but the thought processes and the mind can also be affected. A negative attitude, fear, doubt, etc. may preoccupy the individual. Many people react to unpleasant experiences by blocking feelings and stopping a great deal of our natural energy flow. Whenever a person blocks whatever experience, the energetic balance in the chakra is also blocked. An energetic block can occur by long held negative states, rigid thought patterns, negative emotions, toxins etc., which if not released can lead to physical imbalances. The term “close” or “too open” is also used to describe a chakra that is not balanced.

BALANCED or FUNCTIONAL: Energy freely flows to and from the body through the chakra. Feelings and experiences associated with that chakra are well balanced and full in that person’s life. This ensures physical vitality by taking in energy & distributing it throughout the body. This balance or equilibrium supports groundedness, good health and a sense of well-being.

A constant balance between the chakras promotes health and a sense of well-being. The term “open” is also used to describe this balance.

Where are chakras located?

There are seven major chakras and approximately 22 minor chakras. The major Chakra System begins at the base of the spine and finishes at the top of the head. They are fixed in the central spinal column. Five of the chakras are located on both the front and back of the body, and work through it.

Chakras in the hands and feet

Note: the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet are considered minor or intermediate chakras. The chakra’s in the palms of the hands is where the energy is transferred from practitioner to client (including working on oneself).

The chakras in the soles of the feet are significant in grounding.

FIRST CHAKRA-ROOT CHAKRA

THIRD CHAKRA-SOLAR PLEXUX CHAKRA

The third chakra is referred to as the Solar Plexus. It is located two inches above the navel in the center in the area of the stomach. The third chakra is the center of personal power, self-esteem, the place of ego, of passions, impulses, anger and strength. This is also an intuitive chakra where we get out “gut instincts” that signal us to do or not to do something. Strong self-esteem is needed to develop intuitive skills.

  10. Life Lesson (Soul’s Desire) – To experience the depth of who we are, without reservation, fear, or controlling others, to live our life task or soul’s life purpose.

FOURTH CHAKRA- HEART CHAKRA

The fourth chakra is referred to as the heart chakra. It is located in the center of the chest, in the area of the heart. This is the center for love, compassion and spirituality. This center directs one’s ability to love oneself and others, and to give and to receive love. This is the connection of body with mind and spirit.

This love center of our human energy system is often the focus in bringing about a healing. Thus, the words “Love Heals All” have great truth. Hurtful situations that affect our emotional being are wounding to the heart chakra. Physical illnesses brought about by heartbreak require that an emotional healing occur along with the physical healing. Almost everyone today has a hard, hurt, or broken heart, and it is no accident that heart disease is the one of the most prevalent diseases in America today. Learning to love yourself is a powerful first step in developing a healthy fourth chakra.

We can heal the world, one person at a time, starting with ourselves.

  1. Color Association – Green, pink.
  2. Sanskrit name – Anahatha: unstuck, fresh, clean, unhurt

  10. Life Lesson (Soul’s Desire) – To experience compassion and connection with oneself and others.

FIFTH CHAKRA-THROAT CHAKRA

The fifth chakra is referred to as the throat chakra. It is located in the V of the collarbone at the lower neck and is the center of communication, sound, and expression of creativity via thought, speech, and writing. It is also connected to our career or vocation.

The healthfulness of the fifth chakra is in relation to how honestly one expresses oneself. Lying violates the body and spirit. We speak our choices with our voices (throats). All choices we make in our lives have consequences on an energetic level. Even choosing not to make a choice such as in repressing our anger (not speaking out) may manifest issues for the throat such as laryngitis. We have all experienced that “lump in our throats” when we are at a crossroad of not knowing how to speak the right words in any given situation, perhaps even stuffing our own emotions. A challenge of the throat chakra is to express ourselves in the most truthful manner. Seek only the truth.

  9. Issues and challenges – Sore throat, ear infections, swollen glands, thyroid dysfunctions, laryngitis, voice problems, deafness, cervical (neck) problems, TMJ, dishonesty or lying, criticism, excessive talking, inability to listen, fear of speaking
  10. Life Lesson (Soul’s Desire) – To be heard and understood, to speak and receive the Truth

SIXTH CHAKRA- BROW CHAKRA

The sixth chakra is referred to as the Brow Chakra or sometimes as the “third eye”. It is located above the physical eyes on the center of the forehead. It is where we take our learning from experiences and put them into perspective. Our ability to separate reality from fantasy is connected to the healthy functioning of this chakra. This is the center for our higher intuition. Through the sixth chakra one can receive guidance and tune into one’s “higher self.

  1. Color Association – Indigo.
  2. Sanskrit word – Ajna: command, perception, knowledge, authority
  3. Element – Light

Human Energy Field / Aura Healing |Chakras, Meridians, Nadis

We are flowing energy, our thoughts are flowing energy and we are more than just our physical bodies. Aura is an energy field. All physical matter has an aura. For human beings, this field is sometimes called human energy field, or subtle body. It is called subtle body, because ordinarily we cannot perceive this field with our 5 senses. We need to develop an acuity, certain sensitivity to perceive subtle fields and higher vibrations. Aura is the electro – magnetic field around our physical body, which comprises of 7 energy bodies.

Aura healing or Prana therapy is an ancient yogic science of preventing and curing physical or psychological ailments by healing subtle bodies. It was discovered several thousand years ago in India during Vedic culture. It is extremely helpful in preventing as well as curing all sorts of diseases. Among the healing arts such as Reiki, Energy Healing, Pranic healing, or energy work, there are many common principles, practices, and approaches to treatment and healing. This healing method works on energy bodies (also being referred to as Human Energy Field) uses prana (life energy) and compassion (love). This healing method uses the mind and intentions which can reach anywhere in this universe, so this science has the advantage of curing even when a patient is several thousand miles away.

What is aura? Aura is the subtle part of our body which cannot be seen Aura Healingwith eyes. It was often shown as an illuminating field around the physical body in old paintings. Nowadays, taking its photo is possible by Kirlian photography. Aura consists of four subtle bodies. These bodies supply life energy (pran) and develop force to keep us alive. They also perform the functions of thinking, feeling emotions, storing information in memory, taking decisions, feeling peace and spiritual happiness.

What is the role of Prana? Prana, besides being life energy, plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and health of all the functions of the physical body, mind and intellect. It can prevent as well as cure any sort of disease. The slightest deficiency of it disturbs the proper functioning of all bodies allowing disorder and diseases to manifest themselves primarily in the subtle bodies and ultimately in our physical body. Besides, our mind develops a negative attitude towards life which is detrimental for our perception of everything in life.

Relation between physical body and subtle bodies. Both life and quality of life depend on the proper functioning of these bodies. If these subtle bodies do not perform normally, the physical body or mind falls ill. At the time of death, these subtle bodies have been found slowly becoming non-functional and ultimately they leave the physical body to allow it to decompose. The subtle bodies play a role of a protective shield around the physical body and prevent physical and emotional ailments. Generally, diseases develop in the subtle bodies first and then they affect the physical body. Therefore, by taking care of our subtle bodies, ailments can be prevented as well as cured.

How to find and relieve the underlying causes of disease by accessing the information contained within the human aura?

Conventional Western medicine tends to treat illness as something that just happens to people, something that is caused by external factors and that has to be treated by external intervention. Whilst it is true that there are external factors which contribute to illness, the evidence I have accumulated during thirteen years of work gathering information from the human aura suggests that the most important primary cause of illness is that the affected individual is no longer operating from a state of alignment with their own true nature (soul/spirit/inner being).

In my experience all pain, unhappiness and physical illness has its underlying cause in some kind of shift from alignment with inner truth. Anyone who is perfectly aligned with his or her own soul’s truth will be content, relaxed, happy and fulfilled and their body will then be able to maintain itself in a state of optimum health. It also follows that if someone who is physically ill manages to realign themselves with their own inner being, their body will then be free to recover from whatever illness has been created by the state of separation from truth.

Although alignment is our natural state, there are many reasons why we choose or feel compelled to take ourselves out of that state. Generally speaking, the situations that initially shift us out of alignment with our own truth involve the presence of others who are already out of alignment with theirs. These situations include the need for self-defence against radiated jealousy, pain and fear coming from those who are not aligned, a desire to belong, when belonging seems to mean fitting in with those who are not aligned and the desire to maintain intimate connections when those we most want to connect with are not consistently aligned. There are many people who give more energy and attention to adjusting to those around them than to looking inwards to find what feels completely right for themselves. These people become the pressure that tends to shift others out of alignment and then those who have shifted in turn become the pressure on others. This is one of the ways negative patterns come to be handed down from one generation to another By contrast, those who hold steady to a personal commitment to allow their actions to flow directly from their own sense of inner rightness will provide inspiration to help neutralise the combined effect of those who are misaligned.

One of the most powerful dislocating influences on our behavior is any situation of what I call aura shock. This happens when we are completely knocked out of alignment by a totally unexpected reaction from our environment. This includes situations during childhood in which we expressed our truth openly and naturally in the happy expectation of love and appreciation but received instead a strongly negative response, such as fear or jealous hatred. These situations are remembered by the aura and defenses are automatically constructed to protect against a recurrence of a similar shock. Defenses against aura shock invariably involve a complete withdrawal of the aspect of truth which was in full flow at the moment of shock as well as the production of some form of behavior pattern which is designed to protect against a recurrence of any similar shock.

In addition to these reactive reasons for withdrawing our truth, we are also subject to the effects of the potential contamination of truth which occurs whilst we are in the womb. During gestation we passively absorb our mother’s beliefs about herself and her beliefs about life and may often retain these or even become dominated by them. Most deep feelings of personal worthlessness and beliefs such as ‘what I am is not wanted/ what I am has no place’ have originally been absorbed from the mother.

In order to protect ourselves from incoming negativity, to find ways to over-ride absorbed beliefs of personal worthlessness, to acquire some sense of belonging and to establish close connections with others, we develop an array of defensive behavior patterns which we bring out to suit specific occasions. Each persona has its own specific trigger within the environment and as soon as this trigger appears, the persona is reflexly produced. You may have noticed yourself sometimes behaving in a way you know you don’t really want to be behaving but feeling unable to stop yourself. This behavior pattern will be a performance persona and it will have been automatically generated by your aura as a result of some kind of perceived threat to your survival and/or your truth.

Each time you react by producing one of these personae, the withdrawn and unexpressed aspect of your truth generates an inner sadness. If this happens often enough, the accumulated sadness can eventually lead to despair. This in turn diminishes the power of the immune system to resist illness. Also the performance personae themselves act as barriers, preventing truly warm and intimate truth/truth connections with others, so they bring no genuine fulfillment – only the satisfaction of having produced a convincing performance/satisfactory defence. Frequent use of such personae can therefore bring about feelings of inner aloneness which can also contribute to the despair.

Sorting this all out can be complicated but, fortunately, the human aura contains all the necessary information we need to understand and resolve these issues and restore truth to full flow.

Aura diagnosis is a way to find out the nature of the misalignment, its causes and its solutions. The solution is always in the person’s core truth. There is always a solution.

This is a brief description of the way aura diagnosis works for me:

The person I am working with tells me what they want help with.
I keep myself centered and hold the pure intent of allowing the person’s own aura to present me with the information that will be most useful to them in the area in which they have asked for help. I then either focus on either the part of the body which is unwell or the part which seems to be the main area of negativity or confusion.

The part of the procedure is simply a gathering of information from the aura, just as the physician gathers signs, symptoms and test results from the physical body. The next step is to diagnose the cause of the problem. For this I use the facts presented by the aura and the knowledge I have gained from experience to help me interpret and make sense of them.

I now know how to tell whether a particular negative pattern was imposed, absorbed or chosen, whether it is a result of an aura shock, whether it is being enhanced by the presence of a miasm, whether it is a self-constructed or inherited defence and so on.

I think the key to the aura releasing the information is the combined pure intent of the other person and myself to help to free the truth into clearer flow. The aura is very protective and seems to know exactly what can and cannot be safely brought forward in a particular session. It will not release information that cannot be properly handled by either myself or the person I am working with. I know this because I have worked with some individuals over several years and I have noticed how the moment I have sorted out a particular issue in myself, related areas of difficulty are brought forward in the people I am working with, even though they were never brought up when I was working with these same individuals before. So another condition for doing this work effectively is to not be afraid to face and sort through your own deepest issues. The deeper you go into your own stuff and the more willing you are to face your own fears, the easier it will be for you to help others acknowledge their stuff and deal with their own fears.

Aura diagnosis needs an impartial and open approach. It is not about telling someone what you personally think is right. It is simply about allowing their aura to tell you what is right for them so that you can then help them to see and feel their own truth for themselves. Everyone is different anyway so each person’s truth that you see is like coming across a previously unseen flower in a beautiful landscape.

Aura diagnosis is not really difficult to do. It is the awareness of atmosphere in a place or a building, it is the ‘gut feeling’ that tells you whether you can trust someone or not. It is the ability to sense whether someone you love is happy or angry or distressed without even seeing them. In all these situations, you are simply picking up information from their aura via your own.

Someone who wants to do aura diagnosis professionally just needs to become more consciously aware of the information they are picking up through their own aura. They also need to know how to interpret what they find and present it in a way that is useful and constructive to the other person. These abilities come with practice. However, if you can allow yourself to stay relaxed and open whilst you are doing it, the right way to proceed will simply come to you ‘the right words, the right speed, the right tone of voice. The other person’s aura will guide you and you will also have all the spiritual assistance that you need, providing you stay with the pure intent.

Many of us are simply brought up with the beliefs that life just happens to us and there is nothing much we can do about many situations, however much we dislike them. However, once you come to realise that you always have access to the inner resource of your own certain knowing of what is right for you and that it will always be safe and fine to follow through that knowing with right action, you will not be afraid of potentially difficult life situations as you will know that you have access to the resources to deal with them. Once you understand that illness is a direct result of separation from your own truth and realise that you can always make the choice to shift back into alignment with what is truly right for you and thereby facilitate your own body’s natural and ongoing healing process, then you will not need to fear any disease.

The difficulty with being a conventionally trained doctor is that everything is presented and analysed in purely material terms and the spiritual aspect of life is often ignored. There is no need to accept the conventional medical model wholesale. History shows us how often medical models have changed and there is no reason to assume that they will not change again.

Unfortunately our Western society has a strong tendency to encourage the general acceptance of the prevailing authorities rather than supporting people in their inner search for personal rightness. I personally don’t go along with the current tendency to blame doctors/hospitals for so many of the things that go physically wrong. We all have instinctive (gut) feelings about what is right for us and about what might go wrong and if we choose to ignore these feelings or allow them to be overridden by someone to whom we give authority over us it is hardly fair to put all the responsibility for what goes wrong onto the authority we have ourselves chosen!

What are the benefits of Aura healing?Aura healing is extremely useful in removing physical as well as emotional problems. It has been found miraculously effective in:
