Reiki & Hypnotherapy

Reiki & Hypnotherapy

Humans get sick, need teeth extracted, and have emotional breakdowns. And for all of these health issues and more, we are so fortunate today to have alternate and complementary tools of healing, such as Reiki, to balance and stimulate the immune system, and hypnotherapy to establish deep peace.

Reiki is a form of vibrational healing. The practitioner harnesses the life force in his/her hands and lays them gently on the recipient at specified points. Reiki stimulates one’s natural tendency to be vibrant, and is beneficial in maintaining and extending one’s balance, health and emotional well being.

Hypnotherapy essentially entails bringing someone into a deeply relaxed state from which they can get in touch with underlying patterns that serve to free up physical or emotional blocks. From a spiritual perspective, the potent use of loving-kindness can transform countless circumstances.

Each treatment method has been found to be extremely effective in producing healing on all levels of one’s being. This includes physical, emotional, spiritual and mental levels. So, when both methods are used in collaboration, the healing potential that can be achieved with Hypnosis and Reiki treatment is far greater than that of a hypnosis or Reiki treatment alone. Reiki-Hypnotherapy came about as a way to combine the most effective tools for healing and relaxation

Reiki: How does it work?

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”Reiki philosophy believes that we are alive because life force is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.

The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force. This diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body.

Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.energy medicine like reiki have been practised for thousands of years.

Reiki by cleansing the blocked chakras and allowing universal life force energy to flow through the person’s body produces greater comfort and relaxation which helps hypnosis healing to work more smoothly. When such session is administered to a person already in hypnotic state, it aligns the body’s energy system with the thoughts of health and well being.

Hypnosis:How does it work?

Hypnosis word is made up of the root hypnos which means sleep. sleep is a state which happens unconsciously I.e you do not have to take conscious effort to achieve it. Hypnosis is state where a person makes conscious efforts to surpass the conscious mind by giving a series of suggestions so that those suggestions can directly reach the subconscious mind. Hypnosis can be achieved in a state called trance which is a state between being awake and being asleep. In trance state the mind is receptive to any suggestions given to the hypnotized person, the conscious mind does not take any effort to contradict it. This hypnotic state or trance state is achieved by first relaxing the person with a series of relaxing suggestions. When the person reaches the trance state, whatever suggestions are given to him they are directly received by the subconscious mind. Thus the hypnotized person does whatever the instructor ask him to.For eg. if you instruct a person in a conscious state who has stage fear to go and give a speech in front of a large crowd the conscious mind steps in and thus the person has second thoughts which are mostly negative based on his previous experiences. Thus he may fail to give a good speech. Now the same person when hypnotized and asked to give a speech, the instructions are directly accepted by the subconscious mind and this without any negative interference by the conscious mind he can give a great speech .Scientific studies have shown that under hypnosis the left analytical side of the brain significantly reduces in activity whereas the intuitive, creative right side of the brain shows an increase in activity. This would account for the increase in intuitive insight and problem solving ability often experienced in during hypnosis.By quieting the conscious mind, the hypnotherapist is able to gain access to the subconscious mind and to help to facilitate the changes requested by the client.

In this mode of therapy, focused concentration helps to create an altered state of consciousness or state of relaxation where the patient is unaware of the surrounding. This therapy is commonly used to treat physical and psychological conditions since it effectively relieves pain, anxiety and discomfort, producing feeling of profound relaxation.

Hypnotherapy can be used in many ways, and is highly effective for reaching many goals: from smoking cessation to integrating new and healthy habits, from weight loss to muscle gain, from lowering your cholesterol to increasing your memory and recall capacity, and even removing dis-ease.

Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation, an altered state of consciousness, achieved through focused attention. While in this trance-like state, the unconscious mind is highly receptive to new perspectives and ideas; thus, it is an ideal state for the use of imagery and positive suggestion to bring about change.

It is also an ideal time to implement other therapeutic processes, namely, Reiki, since the whole system is already primed for change, for healing.

Benefits of Hypnotherapy and Reiki:

Reiki by cleansing the blocked chakras and allowing universal life force energy to flow through the person’s body produces greater comfort and relaxation which helps hypnosis healing to work more smoothly. When such session is administered to a person already in hypnotic state, it aligns the body’s energy system with the thoughts of health and well being.

Hypnotherapy and Reiki not only helps to relieve stress, pain and agitation but also helps the person to have a sound sleep. It enhances physical healing and promotes the sense of mental clarity and calmness. Hypnotherapy and Reiki helps the person to let go of old emotions such as anger, anxiety, etc and allows the person to perceive a positive approach towards life.

Past Lives do affect your Present Life

Past Lives do affect your Present Life

Past lives make logical sense! Why would someone be born blind, or killed in war, or live in abject poverty when someone else lives in a happy family in peacetime and is financially secure? Also, why do some people have battles with a pattern of continuous bad luck that they are seemingly unable to change?

One way of looking at this is that before we incarnate onto this earth plane, we have the intention to work on certain lessons. When we fail at the end of a lifetime to learn that lesson, we get another chance to do a “make over” in another incarnation — with a different set of circumstances or sometimes with the exact person we were with before. But what often happens is that the lesson is still not learned, and therefore a pattern starts to develop. With each succeeding life, the pattern becomes more ingrained, resulting in greater difficulty to overcome it.

From this present life’s perspective, we are puzzled about why we should have this particular pattern or bad luck and how to release it. In actuality, it is just a particular lesson coming up again for resolution.

Fortunately, we can access this information easily through the use of hypnosis. Every memory we have ever had in any lifetime is recorded in our subconscious memory computer, and we can gain access to it through our conscious intention to do so in a very relaxed state.

Past life regression gets at the root from so long ago of when this pattern first began and through good understanding and forgiveness releases the pattern so that it never returns again in this present life or in subsequent lives.

Almost any unresolved issue begun in a past lifetime can affect our present circumstances in health, relationships, career, finances, fears, phobias and addictions.

One common fear is of one’s personal psychic or healing abilities. Someone may be fascinated by these subjects but have a terrific fear of developing them. Many times this can be caused by rejection, banishment, humiliation and even death (burning at the stake), for example, for being a medicine person in a past lifetime. Therefore, there is fear of developing these abilities again because of the subconscious fear that you may again suffer a similar fate. This pattern can be erased by forgiveness of the perpetrator(s) and remembrance of one’s innate psychic and healing abilities.

The following are other fears and patterns that may arise from past lives:

  • Fear of leadership — This can be caused by actual misuse of power or perceived, but not actual, misuse of power in a past life. For example, many people, particularly in the Midwest, have guilt over lives as Native Americans when, as chiefs or tribal leaders, they made decisions they thought were correct but had an adverse effect on their tribe, resulting in widespread death and loss of land. This guilt is misguided, because no matter what their decision, the result would have been the same.
  • Fear of intimacy — Many people with this issue were violated or abused in a previous lifetime and today still carry a lack of trust in and a fear of getting close to others.
  • Failure to let go of a relationship — People may need to repay karma to one another before letting go. Often, though, they fail to recognize when the karma has been completed and it is time to move on.
  • Money issues — These may be the result of greed to the point of harming others’ health and livelihood in a particular lifetime. In this lifetime, therefore, there is scarcity, money losses or failure to be able to make or save money.
  • Weight gain/loss issues — These sometimes are the result of past life food deprivation or starvation. In this lifetime, the person overeats because of a subconscious fear of not having enough food.
  • Illness — Some illnesses, especially those that are unexplained by the medical community, may have a direct basis in a past life. For other illnesses, past lives may be a contributing factor or trigger.

Many people feel actual physical symptoms during hypnosis, such as pain or pressure in their chest or head, shaking of the body, difficulty breathing, and crying. These symptoms go away by the end of the session.

If the perpetrator/victim is someone the client knows in this lifetime, additional dialogue is needed to release current misunderstandings based on the past.
