Aura / Energy Field Condition & Illness / Diseases | India |

The aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds our physical body and includes multiple layers that are interconnected. Some of the layers include the ethereal body, the emotional body and the mental body. The ethereal body, the closest to the physical body, usually is a reflection of our health status. The emotional body reflects the mood of the individual, as well as the emotional response towards other people and situations. The mental body reflects our thoughts. This is how all our thoughts, emotions and experiences are reflected in the aura.

The aura, as an energy field, is constantly changing according to our physical condition (illness), our thoughts and fears. Many illnesses start first with a weakness in our auric field, in particular, in the emotional body. People with a physical or mental illness or those who are emotionally upset have weak auras, while happy healthy people have strong bright auras. The aura also works as a magnet, attracting certain energies towards itself, and repels others equally. So when we have a strong and healthy aura, we will attract more of that while at the same time repelling dense low-vibrational energies, and vice versa.

Some people are very sensitive to subtle energies from others, and can feel their pain, fear and negativity. These energies can be absorbed by our energetic field and create emotional, mental and physical illnesses. Treating the disease or the symptom will only alleviate the condition temporarily as we are not addressing the root of the cause.

The Human Energy Field or Aura is always receiving energy from the universe. This energy sustains your entire existence: body, mind, and emotions. This energy flows into your chakras and aura. This flow determines the vibrance of your health. Our aura is the energetic skin which holds all our inner energy bodies and outer body together. Our energy chakras are like the pores in the energy skin which regulate the flow of universal energy into and out of the body.

We are energy beings. Every atom & every cell of our body is surrounded by an energy field, therefore our entire physical body is surrounded by a field of energy which we refer to as an AURA. It spreads about an arm’s length all around our body. Aura reflects our state of mind, our emotional balance & indicates before we actually become sick.

The Human Energy Field or the ‘Aura’ is the manifestation of universal energy that is intimately involved with human life. It can be described as a luminous body that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body, emits its own characteristic radiation. This energy field is intimately associated with health. Any disease first affects the aura; much before (3 to 6 months) it manifests in the physical body. So a healer is able to sense the onset of the dis-ease much before a doctor or any of his modern diagnostic appliances can register it.

Great saints of all times, like Buddha, Jesus Christ, Guru Nanak, Sai Baba, are always depicted with a halo (aura) around their head and rays emerging from their raised palms.

Aura of a person keeps on changing according to inner growth and evolution.  Aura also depends upon the emotions and the state of mind at the time of Aura Reading.  The energy which forms the Aura is called Prana.

Aura has seven basic colours and few more.  These seven basic colours in the Aura are linked with the seven Chakras of the human body.  Clear and bright  colour shows that the state of related Chakra is healthy and well developed whereas dull colours relate to ill or underdeveloped Chakras.

As per the Aura Readers, it has been seen that any illness first manifest in the Auric body several months/years before it appears in the physical body so by doing a proper Aura analysis of a person it can be found out whether the person is likely to suffer from any disease in the near future and based on the analysis, certain corrective measures can be taken through healing therapies to heal the Aura and thus convert it into a healthy and well developed Aura so that physical body remains protected from any disease/ illness.

A diagnostic concept wherein with the use of certain methods a person’s mental & physical health can be revealed 3/6 months prior to any medical diagnostic tool. In our therapy, with appropriate knowledge and years of practice we have developed the method of sensing the aura.

At the highest frequencies of energy, illness cannot exist, because disease vibrates at a low frequency. The highest vibrations come from the thoughts and emotions of love, joy, passion, excitement, and love of life. The ideal state for the frequency of wellness is self-love, which creates a protective shield of personal space, strengthening your aura and your immune system, and protecting you from negative energy (both from within yourself, and from negative energies outside yourself). The ideal state for the frequency of disease is self-hatred, which invites attack on every possible level, especially from within. Negative emotions such as anger, depression, sadness, despair, self-condemnation, etc. lower your vibration, which weakens your immune system and leaves you vulnerable to disease and negativity.

All illnesses already exist in the body, and only develop when they become activated by a particular thought or pattern of thoughts and energy, which are triggered by responses to certain life experiences. Like attracts like vibration, so if you are resonating on a high frequency, then that is what you will attract to you and experience. If you let yourself be brought down emotionally, your vibration slows down and allows negativity to attach itself to you, which further lowers your vibration. This can spiral downward into disease, depression, and eventually, death.

If your auric field is strong and intact, then nothing can affect you from outside yourself. The high vibrations protect you from being affected by external forces. Without them, one can allow oneself to be influenced by a variety of life experiences that contribute to a state of imbalance and disease.

Many times,  energetic defects are present in the energy field or Aura. When the flow of energy within this energy field becomes weak, impure, unbalanced or blocked, these energetic defects prevent the pure connection to the higher spiritual reality—the field of pure consciousness and the true self of the person. This prevents the full and healthy expression of the living potential of the whole person and removes the natural condition of energetic health that is a requirement for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

The ultimate causes of these energetic defects are often physical and/or psychological trauma. One (or a series) of traumatic experiences, harmful life circumstances or dysfunctional relationships in the past (often including past lives), if they remain unintegrated by the psyche, impress the energy field with energetic defects. These energetic defects in the energy field separate the person from a full connection to his or her higher (true) self and from the whole of reality, leaving rigid existential biases (including core issues in the personality). They also make it possible for unhealthy energies to establish themselves in the aura and chakras, because the strong, healthy energy that the energy field normally possesses, and which resists such energetic invasion, is compromised. And so, these three effects—personality trauma (including repressed memories), fundamental energetic defects in the aura and chakra system including but not limited to those corresponding to negative thoughts and emotions and invasion by unhealthy impure energies —often exist together and are closely related. They produce unhealthy energetic conditions in the energy field, and rigid and unhealthy patterns of emotions, mind and spirit that occlude the full and healthy expression of the true self of the person and that will eventually lead to problems in the worldly life. Diseases or afflictions of a physical, emotional or mental nature often eventually become manifest.

Energy healing is the art and science of sensing and correcting energetic defects in the energy field. As an energy healer, we will seek to restore the condition of our patient’s energy field to its strong, natural and healthy state and correct any defects that are present, thereby helping to restore and maintain health to our patient’s body, emotions, mind and spirit—to all levels of his or her being. In doing this, we will treat the ultimate cause of afflictions and disease. By treating ill conditions in the energy field, we may work to assist in the resolution of a disease condition which has already manifested in the physical body, or in the mental and emotional life of your patient. Our healing work may also serve to prevent future disease by treating faulty energetic conditions in our patient’s energy field which might otherwise result in illness in the future, should they remain untreated. Additionally, our healing work is beneficial simply because it enhances the entire life process of our patient, even if prominent disease or afflictions are not present, improving functioning of body, mind and spirit and enabling our patient to live a healthier, more balanced and fulfilling life.

As we perform an energy healing treatment, we will conduct an extra measure of the energy into our patient. This serves to supplement and enhance the overall health of the energy field. We will also expand your awareness for the purpose of gaining intuitive information regarding the condition of the energy field of our patient, to sense and detect energetic defects of various kinds (and perhaps even their causes). This healing knowledge is not the product of our thinking mind, but comes through us from the unlimited knowledge contained in the field of pure consciousness. We will then heal the energetic defects that are present by using various special energy healing techniques. We do not generate the healing power that makes the healing techniques work, but our proper use of the techniques will enable us to be a channel for the healing power that comes from the field of pure consciousness. By healing the energetic defects in your patient’s energy field we offer our patient the opportunity to reconnect to his or her higher self (or true self) and the unlimited health and wellness contained in the field of pure consciousness. Reintegration of the personality, a new vision of self and a healing of the energetic defects in the energy field are the potential benefits.

Chakra Therapy & Weight Loss

The Real Reason You’re Not Losing Weight

Are you perpetually on a diet? Do you feel “fat” no matter what size you are? Have you tried every tip, trick, and weight loss plan under the sun without sustainable success? Do your failed attempts to shed pounds lead to feelings of shame and self-blame, hopelessness, and possibly even further weight gain?

If you’re trying to lose weight, you’re probably already pursuing a healthy eating and exercise plan. You might not have considered some of the more esoteric reasons that your body might hang on to excess weight. Some people struggle with losing weight because they absorb the stresses and negativity of others on an energetic level.

If so, you are not alone. You are caught in an unhealthy cycle of negativity that is never going to allow you to escape its clutches until you address the root causes. Even if you manage to lose weight, you are likely to gain it all back. Diet and exercise are not enough to shrink your waistline at this point. You need energy healing and the secrets of chakra wisdom to heal you from the inside out.

It’s Not Your Fault!

Weight loss is a sticky subject, and as a spiritual Healer, I see so many struggle with it, sometimes for their whole lives. The culture of celebrity has created an unrealistic ideal body image, and yet so many people aspire to this unattainable goal that a whole industry makes its money by exploiting peoples’ struggles with their weight. Perhaps you have even tried a product that claimed low effort and high results and found that it was indeed too good to be true.

Or maybe you have dutifully done everything right in order to lose weight. You work out, limit your calories, swap sugar for healthy snacks, and you still are unable to meet your goal. I know how frustrating that can be! What’s worse is that there seems to be the message floating around that overweight people choose to be in that condition, that if they just “tried harder,” they would be thin.

At the same time, the commercials imply it’s your fault you’re still overweight. No wonder you feel down! Students often tell me this is when they give up, but it’s not your fault! And there is something that can be done once you understand the real reason behind those stubborn, clinging pounds: your chakras.

Chakra therapy works along similar lines to clear your major energy centers. It can help release negative energy and support your weight loss efforts.

Healing and balancing these 7 energy centers in the body can help with weight loss.

The word chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning a wheel. Chakras are subtle energy centers in the body resembling whirling wheels.  With subtle similarities to meridian points in the ancient Chinese healing art of acupuncture, the chakra energy system has its roots in East Indian healing.  Chakras are much bigger acupuncture points that run along the midline of the body and contain the same energy that flows in the acupuncture meridian points. Ancient Hindus formulated that each of these energy points is connected to a different endocrine gland and body organ and has a different color. Also, each chakra spins in a clockwise direction with a different frequency.

Chakras constantly respond to our daily experiences receiving and transmitting energy from other people and the environment, thus influencing us emotionally and physically.  When the chakras are clear, healed and balanced they are our resources for engaging with ourselves and life in the most healthy and positive ways. Therefore we strive to achieve a healthy, healed and balanced chakra system.

When a chakra is out of balance, it we are negatively affected as is the corresponding endocrine gland and body organ associated with that specific chakra.  This can impact and interfere with our ability to release excess weight and engage in healthy eating.

The 7 main chakras affecting our emotions, well-being and weight loss are:

1.      Root Chakra (red) – FOOD IS SECURITY : is located at the base of the spine.  The root chakra is related to safety and security, a sense of belonging and feeling supported. If we are storing weight around our belly there may be emotional issues related to security and belonging.  When our root chakra is healed, balanced and functioning properly we are motivated to eat healthy and take care of our bodies.

2.      Sacral Chakra (orange) – FOOD IS PLEASURE : is located below the navel.  This chakra relates to relationships, emotional balance and sexuality.  If we are overly emotional or depressed or there has been sexual abuse it may mean our sacral chakra is out of balance. This can manifest in addictions, cravings and overeating. When our sacral chakra is healed and balanced it helps us with overcoming cravings to food, drugs, cigarettes, etc.

3.     Solar Plexus (yellow) – FOOD IS POWER : is located above the navel and below the rib cage.  This chakra is relates to our personal power and strength. It also governs our pancreas and blood sugar regulation which is important in weight management.  When we are stressed emotionally we will over-produce insulin which is stored as fat.  When out of balance it can cause fear or lack of control.  When this chakra is healed and balanced it helps us in taking our power back and in motivation to take charge over our health and eating habits. Imbalances in this chakra can also lead to eating disorders, food allergies or addictions, digestion problems and weight problems.

4.      Heart Chakra (green) – FOOD IS LOVE : is located in the heart center. It is related to giving and receiving love, forgiveness and compassion towards all things including ourselves.  Forgiving self and others is an important step toward healing our emotions, our bodies and our lives. The heart chakra is related to the thymus gland which impacts immune system and our adrenal glands.  When out of balance we are not centered in love towards self and can use food in a self nurturing manner.

5.     Throat Chakra (blue) – FOOD IS JOY : is located at the throat.  This chakra relates to our communication, connection, speaking our truth, helping us to be heard and understood, and asking for what we need.  If unbalanced, this can cause stress in the thyroid gland which is connected to our metabolism which in turn relates to how fast or slow we burn fat.

6.     Third Eye chakra (indigo) –  FOOD IS ENERGY : is located in the center of our forehead just above and between our two physical eyes.  This energy center is our chakra of wisdom and intuition.  It is important in learning to trust ourselves, and listen to our body’s needs. When we are connected to our higher self we are more tuned in to our needs including health and well being.

7.     Crown Chakra (violet) – FOOD IS OPTIONAL : is located at the top or crown of our head. This chakra is related to thought, knowledge, consciousness and it is the source of our spiritual connection.  When balanced and healed, this chakra helps us to also feel connected to our higher selves, spirituality and life force energies.

In summary, the traditional system for weight loss in western culture is to reduce calories and increase exercise.  However, challenges in weight and food management can be more complex than just eating too much or not exercising enough.  Working with chakras allows us to identify, heal and clear energy blocks that also negatively impact and prevent success in weight management.  Balancing these 7energy centers including their corresponding, glands and body organs can result in gaining control of weight and food challenges, improved personal empowerment and create a healthy sense of self and desire to take good care.  And, as we balance our chakras, we are creating our lives the way we want them to be, instead of living in continuous reaction to forces outside of us.

Your Second Chakra and Your Weight

Carrying extra weight can be a symptom of dysfunction in your chakras, particularly in your second chakra. If you’re a student of yoga, Ayurveda, or energy medicine, you are familiar with chakras, the spinning energy centers that run up your spine. These wheels of light hold the key to all aspects of your life, so clearing, charging, and balancing them is essential to your wellbeing.

The second chakra, located midway between your root chakra and your navel, is the seat of your sexuality and sensuality, your creativity, your emotions, and your inner child. This is your pain and pleasure energy center, so it’s possible to get trapped in seeking pleasure mode, especially if you have unprocessed emotions from past traumas. An imbalanced second chakra is a recipe for addiction, as the desire for something to help you ignore the trauma or numb your pain takes control of you. This includes, of course, addiction to food, which easily leads to obesity.

Often survivors of sexual abuse have distorted or closed second chakras and therefore carry extra weight, especially in their middle. Think about Oprah Winfrey, who has had very public weight fluctuations her whole career, and has admitted that she has an addiction to food. This type of weight see-sawing is a classic sign of an imbalanced second chakra, and is often linked to the child’s shame that hasn’t been processed.

Oprah has also admitted that she feels safer when she is heavier, which is another common response to sexual abuse; survivors often don’t want to be attractive, or they feel protected by covering up their body. If you have experienced these symptoms too, it may be time to go deeper and deal with any lingering negative emotions lodged in your sacral chakra so you can begin to heal once and for all, and finally fit into that smaller size.

Healing for Weight Loss

In addition to continuing your exercise routine and healthful eating, clearing and balancing your second chakra is essential to any successful weight loss program. Here are a few ways you can begin to heal your second chakra:

1. Experience pleasure—including food!

Guilt and shame are so frequently built into any occurrence of pleasure, especially if your second chakra is distorted, that it can be hard to let yourself enjoy the simple pleasures in life. But part of a strong second chakra is reclaiming your right to feel pleasure. You don’t want to go so far as to fall into addiction, but total restriction is likely to backfire. Like with yoga, meditation, chakra health, weight loss, and life in general, the key is balance.

So eat well! Make healthy choices that taste good. If all you eat are steamed veggies, of course it’s going to be hard to stick to a diet. But there are plenty of recipes for delicious, light meals so you can take pleasure from your food without the guilt. And allow yourself a treat every now and then—you deserve it!

2. Spend time in water.

The element for the second chakra is water, so spending time in water is soothing. Swim in the ocean or take a sea salt and baking soda bath and let the healing properties of the water seep into your skin and your soul. Water is cleansing, and you can imagine all your shame and guilt washing away.

3. Journal two ways.

For weight loss, a journal serves two very important purposes. One, journaling about your emotions will help you to begin releasing them from your body and chakras. Try journaling about your feelings each night before bed, and just see what comes up. It’s not necessary to relive any traumas; simply writing about your feelings will help to get rid of the left over energetic ghosts haunting you and begin to remove the shame from your sacral chakra.

Also, part of your weight problem is likely an unhealthy relationship with food, so spend some time journaling about your feelings toward food, and what habits you were taught growing up. Also try to keep track of everything you eat and drink so you can pinpoint when and where you might be overeating. Be honest. You might think you eat ten potato chips with your trashy TV show, but find out that it’s really thirty. This new awareness will go a long way in getting you to eliminate the habits that are sabotaging your weight loss efforts, especially the ones you currently do unconsciously.

soul leaving body

What happens when a person dies? Spirits, Entities, Ghosts

Just before death, the etheric body begins to loosen itself from the physical body. Then the person experiences intermittent loss of consciousness until the loss is permanent. At this point of death, whatever pain or agony the person is suffering ceases, and a total sense of peace and tranquillity descends on to the person. He or she registers this transition with a calm and peaceful look on the face instead of the agonising grimace just before death. The body is now limp and flaccid. As these physical changes are occurring, the etheric body slowly disentangles itself from the physical body. The point of entrance through the Gates of Death coincides with the severance of the silver cord, which joins the physical forehead to the back of the head of the etheric body. From here onwards, no healer in the world can resuscitate the dead person.

After the severance of the silver cord, the etheric body slowly emanates through the crown chakra as a cloud. When it is completely out of the body, it reforms into an etheric body that looks exactly like the corpse left behind on the bed. At this point, he may not know that he is dead. This knowledge will determine the future fate of his spirit. If he knows that he is dead, than he will either go straight to the astral world or he will linger on to say good-bye to his loved ones, after which he will depart to the astral. Friends, relatives or guides from the astral world will accompany him there. However, the ones who do not know that they are dead will remain earth-bound. The time spent saying good-bye varies between days and months. When they finally leave for the astral, they will shed their etheric forms, and enter the astral in their astral bodies. These are different from the etheric bodies, which are the exact replica of the physical. The astral body may appear in one of three forms. They can appear just as they are at the time of death; or they more likely appear as in their prime (e.g. 30-35 years old). It takes time to come to one’s prime: it is not an immediate affair. The third form is entirely different from the above 2 astral or etheric forms, but the percipients can still easily recognise this 3rd form. This 3rd form frequently occurs in our dreams, and yet we can easily recognise the individuals. They can fly with ease, and may squeeze themselves through keyholes. If a person died with an arm or leg missing, the astral form will be whole again. However, if the spirit is earth-bound, then he will look just as old as when he died, and if an arm is missing, he will still be without an arm.

After working on one’s vibrations to improve them in the astral, one may then upgrade to the mental realm. This transition necessitates the shedding of the astral (emotional) body. This is a very painful process, and it is also called the second death, because all emotions of love, anger, joy, sadness and happiness have to be left behind. In the mental realm, one may assume a form as a ‘ball of light’; this ball of light will still be recognised by friends and relatives. After much more effort and practice, one may further upgrade to higher spiritual realms and so on. These gradations upwards are interspersed by many earthly incarnations.

Now where are all these realms? They are not anywhere faraway. These realms are all around us. We promote ourselves to higher realms through a heightening of our vibrations. We can move from one realm to another whilst remaining in the same spot. It is like increasing the speed of an electric fan: when the speed is slow the fan blades are discernible, but they become less and less discernible as the speed increases until the blades cannot be seen at all. That means if you are of the middle astral, you may not be able to see another spirit in the higher astral, even though both of you are on the same spot. As in the analogy of the fan, as one moves up in the spiritual realm, it becomes more difficult to communicate directly with one’s loved ones on earth. This is because the faster vibrating spirit (higher speed fan) will destroy or burn the slower vibrating individual on earth. The higher spirit must do it through a medium on earth or through some spirits whose function is to transmit messages to the living.

Another point about communicating with the dead is that one must not repeatedly call back the dead. This is because if the recently departed has just arrived at the middle astral, and a loved one on earth repeatedly calls him back, he is behoved to stay earth-bound by these numerous calls. If need be, the deceased can be called back just to make sure that he is all right, or if some information is urgently required, but this practice should not be repeated at all.

Alcohol & Drug Affects Our Aura – Marijuana,Cannabis,Cocaine

People who are taking drugs or alcohol can get into inspiring yet also vulnerable states – emotionally, physically, energetically and spiritually. How come? Here an overview of the effects of alcohol on the physical and subtle bodies of an individual. The influence on soul level is usually the least discussed facet of alcohol consumption.

Alcohol & Body Chemistry

Alcohol directly affects brain chemistry by altering levels of neurotransmitters, which are the chemical messengers and communicators that transmit signals throughout the body that control thought processes, behaviour and emotions.

Alcohol affects both “excitatory” neurotransmitters and “inhibitory” neurotransmitters: it suppresses the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate and increases the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA. What this means for you is that your thought, speech and movements are slowed down, and the more you drink, the more of these effects you’ll feel. Hence the stumbling around, falling over chairs and other clumsy things drunk people do.

BUT alcohol also increases the release of dopamine in your brain’s reward circuitry, the brain areas that are affected by virtually all stimulating, exciting activities. By jacking up dopamine levels in your brain, alcohol tricks you into thinking that it’s actually making you feel great or maybe just better (if you are drinking to get over something emotionally difficult). The effect is that you keep drinking to get more dopamine release, but at the same time you’re altering other brain chemicals that are enhancing feelings of depression. Over time, with more drinking, the dopamine effect diminishes until it’s almost nonexistent. But at this stage, a drinker is often “hooked” on the feeling of dopamine release in the reward center, even though they’re no longer getting it. Once a compulsive need to go back again and again for that release is established, addiction takes hold.

Alcohol abuse over a long period causes chronic intoxication. Nervous tremors develop, the memory fails, also acute gastritis, liver cirrhosis, optic neuritis, heart and kidney diseases are likely to occur, while other symptoms are similar to those of acute intoxication.

Longterm effects of drinking alcohol can not only damage the brain but also the stomach, heart, kidneys, liver, muscles and joints. For example: the liver breaks down alcohol – and the toxins it releases. The alcohol’s byproducts can damage liver cells. These damaged liver cells then no longer function as well as they should and allow too much of toxic substances, ammonia and manganese in particular, to travel to the brain. These substances proceed to damage brain cells, and can cause a serious and potentially fatal brain disorder.

Alcohol & Driving

An estimated 32% of fatal car crashes involve an intoxicated driver or pedestrian. Drinking alcohol and driving simply do not go well together. The human brain has to deal with many things and process countless data all the time. Alcohol affects attentiveness and one’s ability to make quick decisions on the road, react to changes in the environment and execute specific maneuvers behind the wheel. After drinking alcohol, driving becomes dangerous, and potentially lethal.

Alcohol affects everybody’s driving for the worse. It creates a feeling of overconfidence, makes judging distance and speed more difficult and slows your reactions so it takes longer to stop. “I’m only going down the road.” doesn’t work either: a large proportion of all drink drive crashes occur within three miles of the start of the journey.

In the region of the cerebral cortex, where thought processing is centered, alcohol depresses the behavioural inhibitory centers, making the person less inhibited. It slows down the processing of information from ALL senses, inhibits the thought processes and makes it difficult to think clearly.

The same goes for drug consumption. Reaction and decision times are slowed down, over-confidence, altered perception and judgment of risks often lead to perform higher risks. As a consequence, in March 2015 the drug driving law in the United Kingdom changed. It is now an offence to drive with certain drugs above a specified level in your blood – just as it is with drink driving (seventeen legal and illegal drugs are covered by the law, including cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy and ketamine).

Alcohol & Sex

The hypothalamus and pituitary gland coordinate automatic brain functions and hormone release. Alcohol depresses nerve centers in the hypothalamus that control sexual arousal and performance. Although sexual urge may increase, sexual performance decreases.

Is Wine safe?

Alcohol in the form of medical wine has been used in China for more than 5000 years and its use and infusions were recorded in prescriptions 2000 years ago, in the first texts of traditional Chinese medicine. In TCM alcohol is generally characterised as sweet-bitter and hot, also toxic. Wine though, if drunk in small amounts, stimulates blood circulation and opens the vessels to relieve pain, it vitalizes the blood, drives out “wind” and dispels “cold” symptoms, transports medicaments and disperses bad influences. A lot of wine, however adds dampness and heat to the body, and can contribute to a range of problems.

In any case, wine more than other forms of alcohol seems to have added perks, if consumed in moderation. Some argue the polyphenols in wine can ward off bacterial infection and particularly red wine has long been thought of as having a positive influence on heart health. Resveratrol is a substance in red wine that is known to prevent damage to blood vessels (artery damage) and to stimulate the production of antioxidants like Glutathione (GSH) and Superoxide dismutase (SOD).

Who is the Producer?

In this context another important point: Where is the bottle actually coming from? Please do not to underestimate the importance of the quality and standards of the wine producer. Not only the type of grapes, techniques etc. but also the attitude and energy of the people involved in the production process have an effect on the final product, hence the consumer.

Russian scientist, healer and author S.N. Lazarev describes very well in one of his books (Karma Diagnostics), how he could see the energetic profile of a wine by checking its vinyard and producers, just by tapping consciously into their energy field with his psychic abilities. (He also checked the vibration of a large painting owned by one of his friends and recommended strongly to take the picture off the wall as the artist’s energy field had a massive destructive influence which came through the painting. You might take this as a recommendation for double-checking what you have on your walls!)

I did my own experiments and started scanning wine energetically. In fact years ago during my training in Energy Healing I scanned, cleared and hightened the energy field of all sorts of foods or drinks, and noted fascinating results. Whatever you consume, ensure it’s of best possible quality

Alcohol & the Soul

Now we come to the potential energetic and spiritual repercussions of alcohol consumption. Given our multidimensional anatomy (physical, energetic, mental, emotional, astral and subtle bodies), there are corresponding multidimensional effects. Probably the least discussed and known aspects of alcohol consumption.

1) Energy vibrations gets lowered:
The change of your biochemistry has an effect on your whole energy field (aura). You perceive that alcohol relaxes the body and the rational mind, and energy seems to flow better. But in reality the vibration of your energy field gets destabilised and lowered. And quite quickly thoughts and body movements become less cohesive. Rajas and Tamas increase while Sattva reduces – effecting all your chakras, dis-aligning your subtle bodies and cracking your aura. After an initial energy push / rajastic rush (activity, excitement etc), the tamasic energies set in (drowsiness, lethargy, irritability, anger etc). Destructive emotions rise, further weakening your energy field and protective shield.

2) Existing personality defects increase:
Your might have noticed that some people become quite aggressive after they’ve had a few drinks, while others might become tearful and melancholical. As alcohol weakens the faculty of your critical mind, the voices from your subconscious mind grow louder. This may mean voices of your hidden creative capacity come up but most likely it means unresolved conflicts, which increase your emotionality, and vulnerability.

3) Ancestral imprints get activated:
From your subconscious mind and morphogenetic field also your ancestral habits can be awakened or triggered, increasing your inherited addictive tendencies and reducing your ability to disentangle from the desire of drinking (family pattern of diseases and addictions). Unconscious, and often destructive, loyalties within families – well illuminated for example in the therapeutic process of Family Constellation Work – can be dissolved through a healing practice that involves higher states of consciousness and your multidimensional energetic anatomy.

4) Energy attachments block your sovereignity:
When we are emotionally unbalanced, traumatised, depressed, angry, sad or anxious, our aura is weakened or breaks. And this is when disembodied souls and soul-parts can hook onto a human energy field (aura), to live through the human and feed off their energies. The implications are manifold. Disembodied or earthbound souls (also called spirits or discarnates) are souls of dead people who left the physical body, but were spiritually not liberated and are stuck on earthly planes.

When a person has a liking for alcohol, this very liking is often taken advantage of by a disembodied soul – a randomly picked up discarnate or a departed ancestor with a penchant for alcohol. Once attached to a person, it further increases that person’s desire for alcohol. Violent behaviour displayed under the influence of alcohol is mostly due to a negative energy attachment – a spirit or entity that took advantage of an individual and increases his/her already existing personality defect of violence or depression.

Drugs for Enlightenment?

Let’s talk about drugs. The recreational type and the pharmaceutical variety. I am referring to all drugs including alcohol in excess, that give you the feeling of being high. These substances cause holes and tears in your aura.

When we consume something that gets us high, our soul energy literally rises. Our aura begins to quickly expand, trying to harness the escaping energy.

Our aura is a protection field. To willingly allow any substance in our bodies that could create an unwanted opening is not what you want to happen.

Holes or tears invite negative energies to sneak in and invade. You never want to purposefully attract lower vibrational energies to enter your aura. This weakens us and could have repercussions one should not choose. Just because you cannot see the energy field does not mean that it does not exist and that something is not happening.

Some people use drugs as a path to enlightenment (in the sense of higher awareness, insights on universal wisdom, creativity, compassion and joy) or in rituals as a form of healing (or rather as a way to gain an understanding that potentially leads to healing).

No matter whether natural (Peyote, Cannabis, Ayahuasca) or synthetic drugs are taken, an artificially induced state of bliss, oneness and awareness can be wonderful and inspiring, yes. BUT it is also clear that an artificially triggered higher state of consciousness and vibration cannot be sustained without that substance. Inevitably there will be a return into the valley after those peak experience. Drugs give just momentary lifts into happiness and truth realisation. Whoever takes drugs will land back in and pick up from exactly the emotional, mental, vibrational state from where s/he started off from. Bliss might have been experienced with the help of some drug, but fact is that the actual body has not been prepared adequately to have the capacity to hold such high frequency permanently and naturally by itself (nervous system, pituatary and pineal gland connection etc).

What remains? What do you do with a lighthouse moment of bliss and delight? I’d say, a) take the insights you’ve gained and integrate them consciously in your behaviour and life, and B) take it as orientation point and motivation to clear and purify your system through regular spiritual practice and healing in order to be able to reach these states of higher consciousness naturally and “alone”, independent of any external helpers.

Drugs can cause devastation in the body, and of course there is also the risk of addiction, and auric attachments. Don’t just go for higher awareness, go for pristine awareness.

Don’t just go for higher awareness, go for pristine awareness

Effects of Marijuana on the Aura

Many people are under the assumption that marijuana usage is a method for expanding spirituality. Our emotional awareness has developed in the evolutionary process, not by recreational substance use. If you think that becoming dependent on any substance while believing that you’re only better at achieving an elevated state of consciousness with this substance then you’re missing the point of ascension.

Quite honestly you do not need pot to be spiritual, but if you want to smoke it, free will and all that—no judgment just informational awareness. Marijuana falls into the category of one of many drugs that rapidly expands your soul energy, encouraging your aura to have a perforation and leaving you vulnerable, which is the topic of this blog.

Since the aura is our protective shield, it filters incoming energy. When we do not take proper care of it, it can become weak and damaged. And if there is a problem on the energetic level it will eventually appear on the physical level.

The point is that you want to guard your aura as you do your health. Shine bright with clarity and be in alignment with your soul. You do not want to jeopardize your well-being by invading entities when you cause deliberate holes and/or tears in your aura by the abuse of drugs and alcohol.

There are times when one must take prescribed medications. It is best to be conscious of the possible effects. Take precautionary measures to maintain balance, positivity and protect your vulnerable energy field.

Treat your body like a temple.

Honor your being with meditation, natural sunlight, outdoor activities, nutritious foods, purified water, herbal supplements (with approval from your physician), crystal therapies and regular visits to a healer. I work with clients who have the specific need of repairing their aura.

It is important to remember that your success rate increases with diligence. Maintaining a healthy energy field requires time, effort and a commitment.

My personal view on alcohol

I’d say, whatever you do, do it consciously (with your full attention, presence and acknowledgement) and in moderation. If you have a glass of wine, bless it and enjoy it, guilt-free. And ideally in an energetically clear location, which means alone or with people that have good energy. Surely your aura is “safer” when you have a drink at home rather than in a bar or public space. And of course make sure, you drink high quality alcohol, like organic wine from well checked vineyards, or pure vodka.

As with everything in life: it’s a matter of balance. And of course, we are all individual beings with unique settings. What’s beneficial for one person, might be bad for another. And what might be good for you today, can be bad for you at a later stage. Be present and always check with your Higher Self and inner guidance.

Heart / Anahata Chakra | 4th Energy Center| Chakra Balancing

Heart ChakraThe fourth chakra is at the center of the seven chakras with three below and three above. This is the area where physical and spiritual meet. The fourth chakra, also referred to as the heart chakra, is located at the center of the chest and includes the heart, cardiac plexus, thymus gland, lungs, and breasts. It also rules the lymphatic system. The Sanskrit word for the fourth chakra is Anahata, which means “unstruck” or “unhurt.” The name implies that beneath the hurts and grievances of past experiences lies a pure and spiritual place where no hurt exists.

When your heart chakra is open, you are flowing with love and compassion, you are quick to forgive, and you accept others and yourself. A closed heart chakra can give way to grief, anger, jealousy, fear of betrayal, and hatred toward yourself and others.

The heart chakra – the wellspring of love, warmth, compassion, and joy is located in the center of the chest at the heart level. Anahata moves love through your life.

It is the center of your deep bonds with other beings, your sense of caring and compassion, your feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness, and respect.

Anahata is an integrating and unifying chakra – bringing to wholeness – as such, it is your healing center. Indeed, most spiritual traditions recognize love as the ultimate healing force.

The energy of anahata allows us to recognize that we are part of something larger, that we are interconnected within an intricate web of relationships extending through life and the universe.

Anahata allows us to recognize and get in touch with the sacred and fundamental truth that runs through all of life and connects everything together.

The “way of the heart” or the “path of the heart” is living your life from this energy center of love.

It means living your life with loving kindness and compassion towards others. It means that your heart is open to others and you inspire kindness and compassion in others. You create safe and supportive environment.

Others can feel your love and warmth. They feel loved and accepted unconditionally. People feel at peace around you, as there is no judgment coming from you.

When anahata is open and energy is flowing freely, you are not only loving to others, you are also loving to your self. You know when you need to say no and when you need care and self-nurturing.

All of the seven chakras are important and while I cannot say that the heart chakra is the most important, I do want to say that it is very important.

Most of the world’s spiritual traditions recognize love as the unifying force, the energy that is the most fundamental part of the universe, and of ourselves.

To open to love is to reach to the deepest places and connect with our true essence, our spirit, and our soul.

Choose the Essence of Anahata

Some people choose to live in the place of grievances. They’ve been hurt in the past by parents, siblings, classmates, or loves. Maybe you’ve been there too. It’s impossible to avoid situations where someone may try to hurt you. But you get to choose what to do with that hurt. Some people might try to hurt the other person back. Yet, that is not living from a place of Anahata. The person who inflicts pain on others is coming from a place of fear, ignorance or hatred, all of which represent a closed heart chakra.

When you encounter hurt feelings from your past or present, you can choose to feel them fully and let them go or hold onto them. By letting them go, you’re able to open your heart to new people and new experiences with compassion, love, and understanding. Holding onto hurt harbors negative feelings and cuts you off from opportunities to love and serve. Letting go is as easy as making a choice. Your mind and your ego may tell you otherwise but it’s as simple as choosing to let go and move on.

Empathy and Compassion Create Openness

Walking in another person’s shoes is not easy to do, but can be helpful in fostering a sense of empathy. To help create empathy and compassion, I like to play a game called, “the what if scenarios.” When encountering a person who is being unpleasant or who has treated me poorly in the past, I quickly take my mind through a host of what ifs. For example, ask yourself, “What if that person is just having a bad day?” or “What if that person just lost his job?” “What if she just learned her husband was having an affair?” “What if he was just diagnosed with an illness?” As you create these stories, of which the possibilities are endless, you begin to empathize with the other person and his or her situation. This method takes you away from yourself and self-pity and places compassion onto the other person.

Now, let’s suppose that there’s a family member or close friend who just repeats a pattern of inflicting hurt on a constant basis. You can still offer love and compassion either from a distance or by setting boundaries. In any case, know that when someone chooses to hurt you, it’s almost never about you. It’s about them.

Give Love to Receive Love

The best way to receive love is to give it. Other ways you can give love:

  • Smile at everyone you see daily, even if you don’t feel like smiling. It’s contagious.
  • Forgive and move on. Life is too short to hold grudges.
  • Give friends, family and co-workers positive affirmations and feedback.
  • Try to go one day a week without criticizing anyone or anything, including yourself.

Take any opportunity you can to foster love and loving feelings. Love is a currency and whatever you give will come back to you.

Asanas, Sounds, Colors, and Gems to Balance the Fourth Chakra

Any yoga pose that opens the area of the chest will help to balance the heart chakra. Some poses include camel, standing bow pose, and cow face pose.

The mantra sound corresponding to the fourth chakra is the sound YAM. A special mantra to help expand love and compassion is OM MANI PADME HUM. You can repeat this mantra in meditation to gain greater access to these qualities.

The color is emerald green and the gemstones associated with the heart are emerald, malachite, jade, and rose quartz.

Physical Signs of Blocked Anahata Energy

The heart chakra directly affects the heart, lungs, chest, arms, and hands. When misaligned, poor circulation, high or low blood pressure, and other heart and lung conditions can result.

Mental Signs of Blocked Anahata Energy

Mentally, an imbalanced heart chakra can result in problematic issues, such as co-dependence, manipulative behaviors, feeling of unworthiness, and an inability to trust yourself or others.

Energetic Benefits of Aligning the Heart Chakra

When the heart chakra is in healthy alignment you will feel surrounded by love, compassion, and joy and connected to the world around you.

What does healing the heart chakra mean?

Healing the heart chakra may mean several things and refers to many different techniques. We will cover the main ones and remain as practical as possible. Heart chakra healing is sometimes also referred to as balancing, opening, or clearing. The main idea behind healing the heart chakra is to restore flow of energy and overall balance.

Why do we need heart chakra healing?

The heart chakra is particularly vulnerable to disturbances associated with relationships and love. We all have a history of relationships from the moment we’re born to now. During our history, there were many events and opportunities for positive or negative experiences regarding love and relating to others.

As we encounter life difficulties, we have two main ways to cope: We may shut down or decrease the energy that we dedicate to the situation, or we may boost or increase our energy to fight it. These defense mechanisms get anchored in our chakras.

In the case of the heart chakra, we might have felt hurt during childhood or a recent breakup and closed our chakra to numb our pain and avoid suffering. Or on the opposite side, we may have opened and extended our heart energy to a demanding partner or parent in need, sometimes to the point of over-extending and being drained.

Over time, these defense mechanisms can cause imbalance in the heart chakra and other chakras, leading to an overactive, deficient or blocked chakra. One may tend to have excess or deficiency in the heart chakra, or both depending on the situation and coping mechanism.

Energy System Issues | Psychic Attacks, Spirits & Entities |

Aura, Chakra and Energy System Issues

There are many issues that can affect the functioning of our auras, chakras, and meridian and other energy systems, leading to a variety of health problems. The following are some key potential issues.

  • Blockages can be caused by any of the following: emotions that have not been felt and released; negative thought forms from others; psychic attack energy or negative energy from energetic spells; entities or spirits lodged in our auras or chakras; chemical, metal and atomic toxins; other types of poisons or toxins; past life memories or experiences.
  • Distorted auras and chakras can be caused by any of the issues identified under blockages;
  • Holes or tears in the auras can be caused by any of the issues identified under blockages;
  • Lack of synchronization between the auras, chakras, and meridian system can create serious difficulty. Physical issues, emotional issues, intellectual imbalances or spiritual issues can create imbalances in various parts of the auras, chakras and meridian system. These imbalances affect the specific aura or chakra that in turn affects other parts of the energetic system. Nature always tries to achieve perfect balance and these imbalances create a real disharmony in our energetic systems. This can create unbalanced thinking, feeling and behaviour.
  • Negative connections and rays can become attached to our auras. These are a result of negative emotions, drug and alcohol use, psychic attacks or spells, other intelligent being in the Cosmic World, environmental pollution, lack of nature i.e. trees, plants and flowing water. Negativity in thought and behaviour in individuals, communities, draws negative forces to us from the broader Universe. These connections, rays and energies can have a real negative effect on our vitality and energy.
  • Negative energy can easily flip from another individual’s aura into your aura. Energy is alive, moves around, and you can eventually become quite affected by the negative energy of those around you, in your homes, offices or stores.
  • Imbalances can be created by earth energies especially the intersecting points of the Hartman and Curry grids and underground running water.
  • Underactive or overactive chakras can create a variety of issues. Underactive chakras can translate into fatigue, lethargy, weight problems, just a slow attitude towards life or a lack of zest for living. Overactive chakras create other types of problems including hyperactivity, panic attacks, emotional imbalances, and many types of health issues in the physical body.
  • Energetic and chemical markings can be left by other dimensional beings in our Auras and brains so that these energetic beings can find and track us. Constant interference by other dimensional beings can seriously affect our vitality and health.
  • Negative energy programs can be sent into an individual by other human beings. These programs establish connections so that ongoing negative energy can be run into an individual. This can have a serious effect on our entire Energy System and inner vitality.

The Effectiveness and Effects of Distant Energy Healing

Distant energy healing is more effective than much of the healing done today by healing practitioners. The energetic influence of the healer is much deeper since the energetic constraints which can be present when doing a healing in person are not present. The effectiveness of distance healing depends on the ability of the person doing the healing. Distant energy healing is an advanced form of any energy healing. I work in another dimension when I do energy healings.

Potential Effects of Distance Healing

I have been doing distance healing for many years and clients around the world have been amazed at the changes they have experienced within 24 hours of a healing.

Some of the changes they have experienced is as follows:

  • Feeling peaceful
  • Feelings of vulnerability and fear are reduced or disappear
  • Experiencing an enhanced sense of well-being
  • Being able to sleep peacefully again
  • Increased energy
  • Feeling more in touch with who you are
  • Losing the feeling that someone or something outside of you is changing your thinking and behaviour
  • Feeling grounded/ in the moment instead of spaced-out
  • Feeling stronger physically and emotionally
  • Having increased zest for life
  • Becoming more connected with yourself and others
  • Increasing your creativity

And many other changes!

Why Have an Energy Healing

Our energy systems are alive and intelligent. They know exactly what they need for perfect health and vibrant energy. When our energy systems are disrupted, blocked, slowed down, or damaged, messages are sent to the conscious level that something is wrong and that we need to address imbalances, blockages and damage. We are trained to look at the physical body and address its needs rather than look at our energetic systems to provide them what they need for perfect health. Our energy systems are conscious energy and this energy is connected with all energies in the Universe. Our energy systems act as a connection between the physical world and the metaphysical or spiritual world. When we look after our energy systems we look after our deepest and most profound needs, including the physical, emotional intellectual and spiritual.

An Energy Healing will help to correct energetic imbalances, blockages, distortions, holes and tears in your energy field. It will help to reconnect the magnetic systems in your auras, chakras, meridian system, and other energy systems in you and around you in your extended energy field.

Aura & Chakras | Meridians |How they work | Distant Healing|

What is Aura and Chakras?

Aura is a field of subtle luminous energies surrounding your body. These energies generate, hold and project your thoughts, emotions and beliefs. When your energy is harmonious you will experience peace and tranquillity, joy, sense of wellbeing. But if you are under stress, hold self limiting beliefs and other blocks within your energy field they will be projected into your life as self destructive patterns, difficulties, arguments and other negative experiences. Some times we are not even aware of the limitations and blocks we are holding on to, and if we could become aware of them and adjust our thoughts and emotions accordingly we would effectively be removing those negative influences from our lives and begin projecting a different reality, one that we get to choose consciously.

In very simple terms, Chakras are energy centres which connect our subtle energy bodies with each other and channel life energy to our physical being via the energy network called meridians.

Most people assume that chakras and auras are two different names of the same energy but that’s simply not true. They’re connected and can influence each other, but they’re not the same. There are seven chakras in our body and all of them have their own colors. The chakras have a fixed location and they don’t move. You can consider them gateways that control and direct spiritual energy.

Auras are different. While chakras are present inside your body, aura is present around it. It’s like a field around your body that emits energy outward instead of channeling it inward. Auras always have seven layers and emit different colors that reflect your personality, mood, and general health.

Aura is the energy that surrounds everything, living and non-living. Non-living things have a slight aura that is equal to the energy being emitted. A hot table will give off a stronger aura than a cold table; a wood table will put out a stronger aura than a glass table. With living creatures, there are seven layers to this egg-shaped energy.

Each aura layer is directly associated to a charka. The first layer, which is the closest to your body, is connected with the base or first chakra. Each additional layer will appear further from your body, completing the sphere with the seventh layer which is associated with the crown chakra. Most people who are “healthy” will have an aura that can extend beyond their bodies in all directions. When people are feeling depressed, sick or emotionally unhealthy, the aura has a tendency to stay fairly close to the body for extra protection.

Do Chakras and Auras Influence Each Other?

Yes, they do. Your energy can’t really be fully contained. It will escape your body and influence your surroundings. While the energy within your body is controlled and directed by chakras, some of it does leak out and form an aura around us. If there’s a disturbance in the chakras, the leaked energy will corrupt your aura. If you’re surrounded by a corrupt aura, it will influence the chakras. This is a cycle that would keep going until you correct the imbalance and heal your aura.

Auras are a Reflection of Your Mood and Intent

Auras are energetic fields that emanate from the body in a rainbow of hues, and it is somewhat of a tattletale concerning your current state, mood, and way of being. Auras can change as quickly as chameleon depending on your current situation, and they can be adjusted consciously by practiced individuals. These luminous fields of energy surround every individual, a halo of colors that can only be detected by a master intuitive, often by using their Third Eye.

The auras serve as a mood ring of sorts and are affected by not only your state of mind, but that of those around you. If you work in a high stress office surrounded by Type A personalities, your aura may feel theirs pushing against yours if it is weakened; hence, why maintaining a strong aura is essential. An example of energy fields colliding is often seen when people are in love. Lovers’ auras brush against one another and combine into a great field of light when the two are together. Even as they depart, a bit of their partner’s aura clings to theirs.

You can often tell as an average human what type of aura someone has…those with strong auras are very charismatic, can draw a crowd, and have a strong presence. Think celebrities and politicians. Now think about that shy, anxious, withdrawn person who gets easily intimidated by those with thick, strong auras. These individuals have thin, weak auras.

The Chakras Tell the Story of Your Life

Chakras reflect the NOW in your life, and these energy centers are anchored within specific regions of the human body. Chakra means ‘spinning wheel’ in Sanskrit, and each of the chakras has a correlating color just as the auras do. These energy centers work together and ‘communicate’ with each other, so when one or more is blocked, the spinning or activation of the chakra is impaired. In turn, this can affect other chakras, causing slight imbalances that hamper emotional and physical wellbeing.

Emotional healing intuitives can often see the chakras, identify shrunken ones that are impaired, open ones that indicate blockages, and identify those with pinpricks of light which often indicate depression. Healing the chakras requires REAL life changes and effort, whereas auras can be changed on a dime. Clearing and balancing the chakras will in turn support your aura!

Why is a chakra important?

Each chakra tends to be primarily related to certain organs, glands, and life issues. Physical and emotional traumas create pain and therefore a negative energetic “charge” in the associated center or chakra. When this happens a block can be created in which fresh life force (chi, energy, light) is unable to flow freely through the chakra.

Our physical body rejuvenates and energizes itself with food, water, breathing, and receiving universal energy. The chakra is the unseen organ that exchanges energy for the body. Fresh energy is drawn into the body and it is this flow of energy that provides energetic nourishment to the organs and glands. Each chakra supports physical well-being by providing vitality to the physical body as well as psychological and emotional balance. If too much or too little energy is focused in a particular chakra, our ability to receive, experience and express the related concepts and emotions is impaired.

Energy Healing use a gentle touch to balance the energy to support a free flow of energy, which helps to create an energetic balance and eliminate the block. This method works with self-healing as well as for client work.

Chakra Characteristics:

OUT OF BALANCE OR NON-FUNCTIONAL: Energy flow in the chakra is sluggish or is not absorbed and released in a balanced manner. If a chakra is not balanced, or if the energies are blocked, the energy flowing into the body will be slowed down or not absorbed into the body. This means that the feelings and experiences associated with that chakra are being incorporated into one’s experience.  Not only are physical bodily functions affected, which may allow diseases to manifest, but the thought processes and the mind can also be affected. A negative attitude, fear, doubt, etc. may preoccupy the individual. Many people react to unpleasant experiences by blocking feelings and stopping a great deal of our natural energy flow. Whenever a person blocks whatever experience, the energetic balance in the chakra is also blocked. An energetic block can occur by long held negative states, rigid thought patterns, negative emotions, toxins etc., which if not released can lead to physical imbalances. The term “close” or “too open” is also used to describe a chakra that is not balanced.

BALANCED or FUNCTIONAL: Energy freely flows to and from the body through the chakra. Feelings and experiences associated with that chakra are well balanced and full in that person’s life. This ensures physical vitality by taking in energy & distributing it throughout the body. This balance or equilibrium supports groundedness, good health and a sense of well-being.

A constant balance between the chakras promotes health and a sense of well-being. The term “open” is also used to describe this balance.

Where are chakras located?

There are seven major chakras and approximately 22 minor chakras. The major Chakra System begins at the base of the spine and finishes at the top of the head. They are fixed in the central spinal column. Five of the chakras are located on both the front and back of the body, and work through it.

Chakras in the hands and feet

Note: the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet are considered minor or intermediate chakras. The chakra’s in the palms of the hands is where the energy is transferred from practitioner to client (including working on oneself).

The chakras in the soles of the feet are significant in grounding.

FIRST CHAKRA-ROOT CHAKRA

THIRD CHAKRA-SOLAR PLEXUX CHAKRA

The third chakra is referred to as the Solar Plexus. It is located two inches above the navel in the center in the area of the stomach. The third chakra is the center of personal power, self-esteem, the place of ego, of passions, impulses, anger and strength. FOURTH CHAKRA- HEART CHAKRA

The fourth chakra is referred to as the heart chakra. It is located in the center of the chest, in the area of the heart. This is the center for love, compassion and spirituality. This center directs one’s ability to love oneself and others, and to give and to receive love. This is the connection of body with mind and spirit.

This love center of our human energy system is often the focus in bringing about a healing. Thus, the words “Love Heals All” have great truth. Hurtful situations that affect our emotional being are wounding to the heart chakra. Physical illnesses brought about by heartbreak require that an emotional healing occur along with the physical healing. Almost everyone today has a hard, hurt, or broken heart, and it is no accident that heart disease is the one of the most prevalent diseases in America today. Learning to love yourself is a powerful first step in developing a healthy fourth chakra.

We can heal the world, one person at a time, starting with ourselves.

FIFTH CHAKRA-THROAT CHAKRA

The fifth chakra is referred to as the throat chakra. It is located in the V of the collarbone at the lower neck and is the center of communication, sound, and expression of creativity via thought, speech, and writing. It is also connected to our career or vocation.

The healthfulness of the fifth chakra is in relation to how honestly one expresses oneself. Lying violates the body and spirit. We speak our choices with our voices (throats). All choices we make in our lives have consequences on an energetic level. Even choosing not to make a choice such as in repressing our anger (not speaking out) may manifest issues for the throat such as laryngitis. We have all experienced that “lump in our throats” when we are at a crossroad of not knowing how to speak the right words in any given situation, perhaps even stuffing our own emotions. A challenge of the throat chakra is to express ourselves in the most truthful manner. Seek only the truth.

SIXTH CHAKRA- BROW CHAKRA

The sixth chakra is referred to as the Brow Chakra or sometimes as the “third eye”. It is located above the physical eyes on the center of the forehead. It is where we take our learning from experiences and put them into perspective. Our ability to separate reality from fantasy is connected to the healthy functioning of this chakra. This is the center for our higher intuition. Through the sixth chakra one can receive guidance and tune into one’s “higher self.

Manipura Chakra / Solar Plexus / Third Chakra / Naval Chakra

manipura chakraAlso known as the Solar-plexus or 3rd chakra, the Manipura chakra is located just above the naval and below the rib cage. It is our energy center and it radiates vital life energy (prana) through-out our entire body. The term Solar Plexus chakra or the Manipura chakra includes both the front and the back of the Solar Plexus chakra. The above mentioned chakra is situated at the hollow area between the ribs. And the back Solar Plexus chakra is located at the back of the front solar plexus. The Solar Plexus chakra/ Manipura chakra consists of 10 petals and contains red, yellow, green and blue pranas. A small amount of orange and yellow pranas is also present. It is where our Will Power comes from;  our ability to achieve, self-esteem, raw emotions, and self-discipline are all governed by the Manipura. It is where we can have a mental understanding of our emotional self. The Manipura chakra also controls metabolism and digestion.

The Manipura not only governs the emotional and mental aspect of your psyche but also your psychic experiences. Often a feeling of intuition or “gut feeling” in a certain situation will benefit you greatly if you listen to it. All aspects of the digestive tract, including the assimilation of nutrients, are controlled by the 3rd Chakra.

The Third Chakra, often referred to as the Navel Chakra or Manipura Chakra  and it has ten petals which match the vrittis of spiritual ignorance, thirst, jealousy, treachery, shame, fear, disgust, delusion, foolishness and sadness.

Manipura is associated with dynamism, energy, and will-power (Itcha shakti.) It is associated with the power of fire, and digestion. Manipura is said to radiate and distribute prana to the rest of the body. In this sense, it is roughly similar to the Chinese idea of the dantian in qigong.

It is associated with the following:

  • Deities: Vahni, Rudra, Lakini
  • Element: Fire
  • Color: Yellow
  • Bija Mantra: Ram
  • Body Parts: Pancreas, Stomach, Liver, Small Intestine, Digestion, Blood Sugar, Eyes, Feet
  • Planet: Sun & Mars

When this Chakra is in balance

You will be in complete control over your emotions and thoughts. You will know without a doubt, and accept your place in the Universe, have self-love and, in turn, have a great appreciation for all the people in your life and the uniqueness that they bring to world. When in tune, your Solar-plexus will radiate warmth and joy through-out your entire being, and to others who come into contact with you.

Over-active Solar plexus Chakra
If your chakra is over-active you may be judgemental or critical – and you will easily find fault in others. You may be demanding and have extreme emotional problems, being very rigid or stubborn (it’s either your way or no way). Often anger, or aggressiveness result from an over-active chakra. You may always be planning to do things, but never doing, and your work or interests become a priority over things you have to do (a workaholic). You may also be a perfectionist and can’t settle on something that is already good enough, it always has to be better.

Under-active Solar plexus Chakra

If this chakra is under active it can cause severe emotional problems. You may have a lot of doubt and mistrust towards the people in your life, and worry too much about what other people might think about you. You may also run on “auto pilot” avoiding your feelings of depression or anxiety; you may feel afraid or alone when you start to look at what you have been avoiding. You also may feel that you are not good enough and be seeking a constant approval of others, this can lead to a need or dependency on the people in your life.

Physical Symptoms of a Solar-plexus imbalance: When energy is not flowing freely from this chakra we have problems with self-esteem and confidence, our sense of adequacy, issues around responsibility and feeling “caught in the middle” and deprived of the sweet things in life. It is the power center of the body. Will power, being perfectionistic and self critical is a problem with a third chakra imbalance. You may feel weighed down emotionally and physically (weight problems). You may have diseases associated with the stomach (eating disorders), upper bowel (Crohn’s disease, diverticulosis, malabsorption/ maldigestion), kidneys, gall bladder, liver (all three organs can have stones), addictions, pancreas (diabetes) and adrenal glands. Excessive yang can lead to aggressiveness or greed. Balance of this chakra will give self-motivation. In  general it leads to Poor digestion, weight problems, ulcers, diabetes, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, arthritis, pancreas, liver or kidney problems, anorexia, bulimia, hepatitis, intestinal tumors, colon disease.

Balance

This chakra is fed by disengaging from responsibility, practicing loving and nurturing yourself- not depending on others to nurture you, doing things you are good at and that is rewarding to you. It is also fed by eating yellow and green vegetables, and daily exercise.

Practice acts of personal courage. Do what makes you happy, not what makes everyone else happy. When we fail to do so, we waste too much personal energy blaming others for not being able to do what we would rather be doing. Do it, be yourself! When you do so, others will recognize your individuality, and they will know what your limits are. They will respect you more because they will know what to expect of you. As long as you are allowing others to also be themselves, do not allow yourself to be swayed by accusation of “selfishness”.

Crystals and Gems

Crystals and/or gem elixirs which may help to balance the third chakra: Amber, Apatite, Aquamarine, Aragonite, Calcite (Yellow), Carnelian, Chrysoberyl, Citrine, Copper, Desert Rose, Diamonds (all chakras), Danburite (all chakras), Eilat Stone, Emerald, Gold, Golden Beryl, Goldstone, Hawk’s Eye (Falcon’s Eye), Hematite, Labradorite, Lepidolite, Malachite, Quartz-Clear (all chakras), Quartz (Smoky and Rutilated), Topaz, Yellow Onyx, Pearl (Gold), Peridot (Olivine), Pyrite (Fools Gold), Rhodochrosite, Sulphur, Tiger’s Eye (Yellow), Topaz (Golden), Variscite, Zircon (all chakras).

Planet

The Sun and Mars are co-rulers of the Third chakra; and very appropriately, it corresponds to the “solar” plexus. This is a chakra of personal “power” and indicates your ability to be “sovereign”. Think of the symbolic energies of the Sun and Mars. The Sun radiates its essence: it either blinds us (a negative expression of self-dominance), or it enables us to enjoy its presence by honouring our own inner essence (“Wasn’t it a beautiful day”?). Mars becomes the warrior principle that either enjoys shoving others around, or responding to life’s challenges with inner strength. People who lack courage to take a risk usually have a blocked Third Chakra; they are afraid to express themselves because they have not learned how to set limits. “This is who I am – and you can take it or leave it”! How many of us have the courage to let others know where we stand, especially when dealing with our families? We don’t want to be “I-sol-ated”. Where do you shine like the Sun, or do you hide your inner radiance?

Human Energy Field / Aura Healing |Chakras, Meridians, Nadis

We are flowing energy, our thoughts are flowing energy and we are more than just our physical bodies. Aura is an energy field. All physical matter has an aura. For human beings, this field is sometimes called human energy field, or subtle body. It is called subtle body, because ordinarily we cannot perceive this field with our 5 senses. We need to develop an acuity, certain sensitivity to perceive subtle fields and higher vibrations. Aura is the electro – magnetic field around our physical body, which comprises of 7 energy bodies.

Aura healing or Prana therapy is an ancient yogic science of preventing and curing physical or psychological ailments by healing subtle bodies. It was discovered several thousand years ago in India during Vedic culture. It is extremely helpful in preventing as well as curing all sorts of diseases. Among the healing arts such as Reiki, Energy Healing, Pranic healing, or energy work, there are many common principles, practices, and approaches to treatment and healing. This healing method works on energy bodies (also being referred to as Human Energy Field) uses prana (life energy) and compassion (love). This healing method uses the mind and intentions which can reach anywhere in this universe, so this science has the advantage of curing even when a patient is several thousand miles away.

What is aura? Aura is the subtle part of our body which cannot be seen Aura Healingwith eyes. It was often shown as an illuminating field around the physical body in old paintings. Nowadays, taking its photo is possible by Kirlian photography. Aura consists of four subtle bodies. These bodies supply life energy (pran) and develop force to keep us alive. They also perform the functions of thinking, feeling emotions, storing information in memory, taking decisions, feeling peace and spiritual happiness.

What is the role of Prana? Prana, besides being life energy, plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and health of all the functions of the physical body, mind and intellect. It can prevent as well as cure any sort of disease. The slightest deficiency of it disturbs the proper functioning of all bodies allowing disorder and diseases to manifest themselves primarily in the subtle bodies and ultimately in our physical body. Besides, our mind develops a negative attitude towards life which is detrimental for our perception of everything in life.

Relation between physical body and subtle bodies. Both life and quality of life depend on the proper functioning of these bodies. If these subtle bodies do not perform normally, the physical body or mind falls ill. At the time of death, these subtle bodies have been found slowly becoming non-functional and ultimately they leave the physical body to allow it to decompose. The subtle bodies play a role of a protective shield around the physical body and prevent physical and emotional ailments. Generally, diseases develop in the subtle bodies first and then they affect the physical body. Therefore, by taking care of our subtle bodies, ailments can be prevented as well as cured.

How to find and relieve the underlying causes of disease by accessing the information contained within the human aura?

Conventional Western medicine tends to treat illness as something that just happens to people, something that is caused by external factors and that has to be treated by external intervention. Whilst it is true that there are external factors which contribute to illness, the evidence I have accumulated during thirteen years of work gathering information from the human aura suggests that the most important primary cause of illness is that the affected individual is no longer operating from a state of alignment with their own true nature (soul/spirit/inner being).

In my experience all pain, unhappiness and physical illness has its underlying cause in some kind of shift from alignment with inner truth. Anyone who is perfectly aligned with his or her own soul’s truth will be content, relaxed, happy and fulfilled and their body will then be able to maintain itself in a state of optimum health. It also follows that if someone who is physically ill manages to realign themselves with their own inner being, their body will then be free to recover from whatever illness has been created by the state of separation from truth.

Although alignment is our natural state, there are many reasons why we choose or feel compelled to take ourselves out of that state. Generally speaking, the situations that initially shift us out of alignment with our own truth involve the presence of others who are already out of alignment with theirs. These situations include the need for self-defence against radiated jealousy, pain and fear coming from those who are not aligned, a desire to belong, when belonging seems to mean fitting in with those who are not aligned and the desire to maintain intimate connections when those we most want to connect with are not consistently aligned. There are many people who give more energy and attention to adjusting to those around them than to looking inwards to find what feels completely right for themselves. These people become the pressure that tends to shift others out of alignment and then those who have shifted in turn become the pressure on others. This is one of the ways negative patterns come to be handed down from one generation to another By contrast, those who hold steady to a personal commitment to allow their actions to flow directly from their own sense of inner rightness will provide inspiration to help neutralise the combined effect of those who are misaligned.

One of the most powerful dislocating influences on our behavior is any situation of what I call aura shock. This happens when we are completely knocked out of alignment by a totally unexpected reaction from our environment. This includes situations during childhood in which we expressed our truth openly and naturally in the happy expectation of love and appreciation but received instead a strongly negative response, such as fear or jealous hatred. These situations are remembered by the aura and defenses are automatically constructed to protect against a recurrence of a similar shock. Defenses against aura shock invariably involve a complete withdrawal of the aspect of truth which was in full flow at the moment of shock as well as the production of some form of behavior pattern which is designed to protect against a recurrence of any similar shock.

In addition to these reactive reasons for withdrawing our truth, we are also subject to the effects of the potential contamination of truth which occurs whilst we are in the womb. During gestation we passively absorb our mother’s beliefs about herself and her beliefs about life and may often retain these or even become dominated by them. Most deep feelings of personal worthlessness and beliefs such as ‘what I am is not wanted/ what I am has no place’ have originally been absorbed from the mother.

In order to protect ourselves from incoming negativity, to find ways to over-ride absorbed beliefs of personal worthlessness, to acquire some sense of belonging and to establish close connections with others, we develop an array of defensive behavior patterns which we bring out to suit specific occasions. Each persona has its own specific trigger within the environment and as soon as this trigger appears, the persona is reflexly produced. You may have noticed yourself sometimes behaving in a way you know you don’t really want to be behaving but feeling unable to stop yourself. This behavior pattern will be a performance persona and it will have been automatically generated by your aura as a result of some kind of perceived threat to your survival and/or your truth.

Each time you react by producing one of these personae, the withdrawn and unexpressed aspect of your truth generates an inner sadness. If this happens often enough, the accumulated sadness can eventually lead to despair. This in turn diminishes the power of the immune system to resist illness. Also the performance personae themselves act as barriers, preventing truly warm and intimate truth/truth connections with others, so they bring no genuine fulfillment – only the satisfaction of having produced a convincing performance/satisfactory defence. Frequent use of such personae can therefore bring about feelings of inner aloneness which can also contribute to the despair.

Sorting this all out can be complicated but, fortunately, the human aura contains all the necessary information we need to understand and resolve these issues and restore truth to full flow.

Aura diagnosis is a way to find out the nature of the misalignment, its causes and its solutions. The solution is always in the person’s core truth. There is always a solution.

This is a brief description of the way aura diagnosis works for me:

The person I am working with tells me what they want help with.
I keep myself centered and hold the pure intent of allowing the person’s own aura to present me with the information that will be most useful to them in the area in which they have asked for help. I then either focus on either the part of the body which is unwell or the part which seems to be the main area of negativity or confusion.

The part of the procedure is simply a gathering of information from the aura, just as the physician gathers signs, symptoms and test results from the physical body. The next step is to diagnose the cause of the problem. For this I use the facts presented by the aura and the knowledge I have gained from experience to help me interpret and make sense of them.

I now know how to tell whether a particular negative pattern was imposed, absorbed or chosen, whether it is a result of an aura shock, whether it is being enhanced by the presence of a miasm, whether it is a self-constructed or inherited defence and so on.

I think the key to the aura releasing the information is the combined pure intent of the other person and myself to help to free the truth into clearer flow. The aura is very protective and seems to know exactly what can and cannot be safely brought forward in a particular session. It will not release information that cannot be properly handled by either myself or the person I am working with. I know this because I have worked with some individuals over several years and I have noticed how the moment I have sorted out a particular issue in myself, related areas of difficulty are brought forward in the people I am working with, even though they were never brought up when I was working with these same individuals before. So another condition for doing this work effectively is to not be afraid to face and sort through your own deepest issues. The deeper you go into your own stuff and the more willing you are to face your own fears, the easier it will be for you to help others acknowledge their stuff and deal with their own fears.

Aura diagnosis needs an impartial and open approach. It is not about telling someone what you personally think is right. It is simply about allowing their aura to tell you what is right for them so that you can then help them to see and feel their own truth for themselves. Everyone is different anyway so each person’s truth that you see is like coming across a previously unseen flower in a beautiful landscape.

Aura diagnosis is not really difficult to do. It is the awareness of atmosphere in a place or a building, it is the ‘gut feeling’ that tells you whether you can trust someone or not. It is the ability to sense whether someone you love is happy or angry or distressed without even seeing them. In all these situations, you are simply picking up information from their aura via your own.

Someone who wants to do aura diagnosis professionally just needs to become more consciously aware of the information they are picking up through their own aura. They also need to know how to interpret what they find and present it in a way that is useful and constructive to the other person. These abilities come with practice. However, if you can allow yourself to stay relaxed and open whilst you are doing it, the right way to proceed will simply come to you ‘the right words, the right speed, the right tone of voice. The other person’s aura will guide you and you will also have all the spiritual assistance that you need, providing you stay with the pure intent.

Many of us are simply brought up with the beliefs that life just happens to us and there is nothing much we can do about many situations, however much we dislike them. However, once you come to realise that you always have access to the inner resource of your own certain knowing of what is right for you and that it will always be safe and fine to follow through that knowing with right action, you will not be afraid of potentially difficult life situations as you will know that you have access to the resources to deal with them. Once you understand that illness is a direct result of separation from your own truth and realise that you can always make the choice to shift back into alignment with what is truly right for you and thereby facilitate your own body’s natural and ongoing healing process, then you will not need to fear any disease.

The difficulty with being a conventionally trained doctor is that everything is presented and analysed in purely material terms and the spiritual aspect of life is often ignored. There is no need to accept the conventional medical model wholesale. History shows us how often medical models have changed and there is no reason to assume that they will not change again.

Unfortunately our Western society has a strong tendency to encourage the general acceptance of the prevailing authorities rather than supporting people in their inner search for personal rightness. I personally don’t go along with the current tendency to blame doctors/hospitals for so many of the things that go physically wrong. We all have instinctive (gut) feelings about what is right for us and about what might go wrong and if we choose to ignore these feelings or allow them to be overridden by someone to whom we give authority over us it is hardly fair to put all the responsibility for what goes wrong onto the authority we have ourselves chosen!

What are the benefits of Aura healing?Aura healing is extremely useful in removing physical as well as emotional problems. It has been found miraculously effective in:

  • removing stress, depression, emotional instability, fatigue, conflicts, confusion, worries, sleep disorder
  • increasing mental concentration
  • improving consistency
  • improving positive thinking
  • improving decision-making ability
  • removing physical and mental ailments
  • preventing possible future ailments
  • keeping mind calm and full of energy
  • protecting from negative vibrations or black magic

Chakras & Endocrine Glands | Meridians|

Why should we care about the endocrine system? We all know someone with diabetes, breast cancer, prostate cancer, hypothyroidism or chronic fatigue syndrome. These disorders are all directly affected by improper activity, or inactivity, of the endocrine system. Hence we all should wonder what is happening with our necessary and important endocrine glands.

The endocrine system consists of ductless, glandular organs that secrete hormones and enzymes necessary for digestion, hormone production and regulation,  immunity, metabolism, fat utilization, glucose uptake into energy conversion and sleep/wake cycles. The endocrine system is so crucial because it connects to the invisible yet very present spiritual chakras and meridian lines in the body. The organs present within this system include the pituitary, the pineal, the thymus, the pancreas, the adrenal glands, and the testes or ovaries.  The toxins and chemicals in today’s water, food and air are directly attacking our endocrine systems. It is imperative that the collective understand how this system works and the importance of proper function. Only then will you understand the gravity of avoiding processed food, fluoride-laden water, heavy metals, xenoestrogens, plasticizers, pesticides and lab synthesized pharmaceuticals.

Whats the importance of the glandular organs? The pituitary is involved in a very complex biofeedback loop that involves the hypothalamus in your brain and numerous other target organs. It helps to regulate release of hormones that tell your thyroid, ovaries/testes or adrenal what to secrete and when.  Under stress the adrenals are told to release cortisol, the thyroid is told when to produce more or less thyroid hormone based on metabolism, and the ovaries in females, release hormones in relation to monthly cycles or menopause. In a male, the body makes and eventually releases testosterone after numerous androgen building block steps. It even secretes hormones telling our bodies when to grow and mature. All of this is due to communication from the pituitary! The pancreas and digestive tree are the main detoxifiers. Once they back up and malfunction, our other glands become toxic as well as all is connected. Then we are at risk for heart disease, neurodegenerative disorders or autoimmune diseases due to toxin and chemical overload which deregulates the processes built into our DNA.

The fillers for extended shelf life, heavy metals in vaccines and EMF and cell phone towers all aid in changing our DNA.  Fluoride partially blocks our spiritual antenna. The endocrine system is the victim. As it plays a crucial role in directing and controlling chemical messages that affect protein and enzyme production. These toxins are affecting our message system, stagnating our immunity, metabolism, spiritual connectedness and reproduction. Surprisingly, that’s not all.

There is a specific reason that the endocrine system is especially special. Each gland is connected to one of the seven chakras. Chakras are spinning energy vortexes connected to the spiritual, not physical body.  They tie us to our higher self and to God/source/intuition. Physically harming the body can also harm the chakras that are attached to them because the chakras are an energy system that communicates with the physical body. Everything is energy! Disturbances in the subtle energy of the chakras translate into physical manifestation and symptoms. Depending on our genetic and emotional predispositions, the combination of chakra and/or physical toxin overload eventually produces disease in an organ that is susceptible, based simply on our unique personal risk factors.

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE CHAKRAS

Chakra systemThe word chakra literally means wheel, circle, vortex, or whirlpool. The chakras are connected to a network of psychic channels called nadis, which correspond to the nerves but are more subtle in nature. The major chakras are seven in number and are located along the pathway of sushumna nadi which flows through the centre of the spinal cord. Sushumna nadi originates at the perineum and terminates at the top of the head.
The chakras are depicted symbolically as lotus flowers, each having a particular number of petals and a characteristic colour. The lotus symbolizes the three stages- ignorance, aspiration and illumination. It represents spiritual growth from the lowest state of awareness to the highest state of’ consciousness. The petals of the lotus, inscribed with the beeja mantras or seed sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet, represent the different manifestations of psychic energy connected with the chakras and the nadis leading into and out of them. Within each chakra is a yantra comprised of the geometrical symbol of its associated element and beeja mantra. Within the yantra there is also a presiding deity, which represents particular aspects of divinity, along with the corresponding vahana or vehicle which is an animal form, representing other psychic aspects related with the particular centre.

CHAKRAS ASSOCIATION WITH THE PHYSICAL BODY

On a physical level, chakras are associated with the major nerve plexuses and endocrine glands in the body. Endocrine system is a system of glands which secrete hormones directly into the blood stream rather than through a duct to regulate activity in other parts of the body. It is instrumental in regulating metabolism, growth, development, puberty, tissue function and also plays a part in determining mood. The names of the glands & the chakras are muladhara (adrenal glands), swadhasthana (gondas/ovaries), manipura (spleen/pancreas), anahata (thymus), vishudha (thyroid/parathyroid), ajna (pituitary gland), sahasrara (pineal gland). The ideal condition of chakras is that they all be open and active, and neither underactive (closed) or overactive. If your chakras are closed you need to open the chakras so as to make them active, you should feel more balanced, happy and at peace.

Endocrine Glands

The seven major chakras, although undetectable anatomically, are metaphysically linked with a number of different systems within the physical body. We will explore how the chakras bridge the visible, physical, self – in the form of the spinal cord, the autonomic nervous system, and the endocrine system with our ”subtle” body, that envelope o vibrational energy called the “aura”.

Endocrine GlandsWhile orthodox medicine describes our physical system in terms of chemistry, what is now understood in that for any chemical action to take place a change in the electromagnetic energy of the body must occur. This energy emanates from the “mind” and explains the importance of the mind-body link to our physical, emotional, and mental health. The old scientific paradigm of relating to health purely in terms of the visible is now being superseded by an appreciation of “truths” once embraced only by mystics: that thoughts and the mind precede and affect physical matter. After all, what is thought but a form of energy?

The endocrine system is one of the body’s main physical control mechanishms. It comprises a number of ductless glands that are responsible for the production of many different natural chemicals called hormones. These chemical messengers, which include adrenalin insulin, oestrogen, and progesterone, are secreted into the bloodstream from specific organs in the body to stimulate or inhibit certain physical processes. The endocrine system, along with the autonomic nervous system, helps maintain the parameters needed for optimum health by adjusting levels of hormone secretion to suit special demands. In the same way that an imbalance in one chakra affects the others the nervous and endocrine systems are functionally interconnected and any disturbance in one part can lead to a malfunction elsewhere. In order to gain a better understanding of how the endocrine system links wit the chakras, let us look at each pair in turn:

Adrenals – Root (1st) Chakra
The adrenals are triangular=shaped glands that cap each of the kidneys. They secrete a variety of hormones including those that regulate the body’s metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates and ones that control the balance of salt in our bodily fluids. These glands also reduce adrenalin, the hormone essential for our primitive “fight or flight” response, from which we can determine the link between this gland and the Root Chakra’s association with the issues of physical survival.

Ovaries/testes – Sacral (2nd) Chakra
The male and female reproductive organs, or gonads, produce hormones that are responsible for the development of secondary sexual characteristics, such as the depth of voice and amount of body hair. The testes and ovaries control an individual’s sexual development and maturity as well as the production of sperm in males and eggs in females. Our relationship with our own sexuality, and issues of emotional balance concerning that, is a key association of this chakra.

Pancreas – Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakra
The pancreas lies behind the stomach and secretes a variety of substances essential for the effective digestion of food It also produces insulin, which helps control the blood’s sugar level. One of the physical dysfunctions of this chakra is diabetes, a disease caused by excess sugar in the bloodstream. There is a further link with the Solar Plexus and adrenalin, which is why we experience “butterflies in the stomach” during frightening experiences. The associated body parts of the Solar Plexus include the digestive system and a further dysfunction of this chakra is stomach ulcers.

Thymus – Heart (4th) Chakra
Located just above the heart, the thymus produces hormones that stimulate general growth particularly early in lif. It also has a purifying role in the body by stimulating the production of lymphocytes, which form part of the blood’s white cells’ defense system, attacking invading organisms and providing immunity. Scientists now recognize that auto-immune diseases, where the immune system attacks its own proteins, mistaking them for a foreign substance, have an emotional link and are not simply due to physical or environmental causes.

Thyroid/Parathyroid – Throat (5th) Chakra
The thyroid gland, situated on either side of the larynx and trachea in the neck, manufactures thyroxine, which controls the body’s metabolic rate – that is, how effectively it converts food into energy. Behind this lies the parathyroid gland which controls the level of calcium in the bloodstream. In addition to physical growth, these glands are also believed to affect one’s mental development. The Throat Chakra, linked with all forms of communication, corresponds to the need to balance between the rational, cerebral, approach and the emotional expression of the heart.

Pituitary – Third Eye (6th) Chakra
The pituitary glands located within a structure at the base of the skull, close ot the eyebrows. Once called the “master gland” of the endocrine system, it has since been found to be controlled by hormonal substances released by the hypothalamus, a part of the brain This vital gland influences growth, metabolism, and general body chemistry. This includes the hormone which produces contractions during labor and releases milk from the breasts during lactation. It is interesting to note this Third Eye= pituitary gland connection with birth and motherhood, a time when namely women feel that their intuition, particularly with regard to their child, is at its peak.

Pineal – Crown (7th) Chakra
The glandular connection of the Crown chakra is the pineal gland, a pea-sized body that lies deep within the brain and was once thought to serve no useful purpose. Considered in the seventeenth century to be the seat of the soul by French philosopher, Rene Descartes, recent scientific research has linked this gland with the production of melatonin and regulates our internal “body clock”. Melatonin is also the subject of intense scientific interest for its possible anti-ageing properties and is believed to affect the pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, and gonads – although no one yet understands how or why. Like the Crown’s function within the chakra system as a whole, the pineal gland is the control center for the effective functioning of our physical, emotional, and mental selves.

Kundalini Rising

In the same way that our physical body’s central nervous system consists of the spinal cord leading to the brain the energetic equivalent is the sushumna, vertical column within which the seven chakras are located. The parallels between these physical and metaphysical structures are striking. Whereas the function of the spinal cord is to relay impulses to and from the brain and other parts of the body, the sushumna channels energy from the Universal Life Force to and from the Crown and Root Chakras. Each chakra is rooted into the sushumna by both a front and a rear aspect. In their traditional depictions as lotus flowers, the petals of each chakra emerge from the sushumna at the front of the body, while the stems open out from the back. The stems normally remain closed and have a negative polarity, whereas the petals consecutively vibrate, rotate in a clockwise or anti clockwise direction, as well as open and close. They have a positive polarity.

The journey upward through the chakras is spoken of in terms of “Kundalini rising”. Kundalini is the serpent goddess often depicted as coiled three and a half times around the Root Chakra. According to Hindu tradition, when awakened Kundalini pierces each chakra in turn as she travels toward the crown. Once she has arrived at her destination the subject is said to have achieved enlightenment. There are many links between Kundalini and religious and cultural archetypes. In Genesis it is a serpent that leads Adam and Eve to taste from the Tree of Knowledge, hereby instigating the inner conflict between material needs and the spiritual desire to achieve higher states of consciousness.. And in Egypt, the pharaohs wore serpent symbols over the Third Eye Chakra to represent godlike stature. It is the appreciation of our Higher Self = finding the God within = that is the ultimate goal of this journey through the chakras..
