A spirit is the soul of a person or animal which has remained in this world after the death of the body. Sometimes, when a person dies, his or her spirit gets stuck here on Earth. There are so many reasons for this. Sometimes death is sudden and truly confusing and the soul goes on “living” not even knowing that the body it left is dead. Sometimes souls stay on purpose, not bearing to leave a loved one, wanting to protect a child or spouse, or even seeking revenge. Sometimes souls simply get lost.

I help these souls get back to Source. That means that I also help the people who encounter these souls. The act of clearing or shifting these spirits back to Source is called Spirit Releasement.

Spirit attachments can be found in the aura, chakras, or in some part of the physical body. The topic of spirit attachment can be found throughout many cultures and religions going back to ancient times. spirit releasement is a more modern, compassionate method of what is called “exorcism.” However, there is a difference between “possession” and “spirit attachment.”

Attachment is when the spirit or entity is attached to some part of your energy field. This is not possession like you see in films. Actual possession is considered to be rare and more severe, where the spirit has actually taken over the body and the person entirely.

The most common types of spirit attachments are earthbound spirits. Most haunting, earthbound spirits are usually innocent and were looking for comfort at their time of death, and did not yet make it to the light.

The second most common is dark force entity attachments, which are often. This type of spirit will attach to a living person with the intention of creating misery, hopelessness, and fear, stealing the person’s light and draining their life force energy. The main goal of these spirits is to disempower humanity. These spirits are not normally the type you see in scary movies and are often able to transform into light during spirit releasement.

A spirit attachment can occur when there is a hole or tear in the person’s aura due to an emotionally or physically traumatic experience. Organ transplants have also been known to transfer the spirit of the donor to the recipient, resulting in attachment. A living person can have dozens, even hundreds of attached spirits, as they occupy no physical space. They can attach to the aura or float within the aura outside the body. If any part of the body of the host has a physical weakness the earthbound can attach to that area because of a corresponding weakness or injury to the physical body of the spirit prior to death. A spirit can lodge in any of the chakras of the host, drawn by the particular energy of the chakra or by the physical structures of that level of the body. Many areas of a person’s life can be influenced by one or more attached entities. In short, spirit attachment can interfere with any aspect of the life of the unsuspecting host.

It is also very common for those who are extremely psychic who have not yet mastered their gift or learned proper protection methods, to experience a haunting, spirit attachment. Being so open to the unseen world without protection is an easy way in for any type of spirit to enter the energy field and wreak havoc on the victim.

Much of our negative mind chatter, and negative emotions come from entity attachments or entity harassment. They can cause serious health problems, accidents,, and serious disruption of relationships, finances, and sleep. Possessing/obsessing/attaching entities collect around samskaras and negative thought and emotional patterns. On the astral plane, like attracts like. Entity attachments can cause negative programming of the subconscious mind. They are behind depression, anxiety, bloating, anger, and compulsions of every kind.

Fragmented parts can be reintegrated as energy fields clear. The “pain body” can be purified of lower astral influences and attachments. Negativity can be transformed so the spiritual soul can shine.

What Is Spirit Attachment?

Spirit attachment, entity attachment or possession is the invasion of one’s body by a dis-incarnate spirit, a lower astral entity (astral personality fragment of a spirit that has passed on, or demons), or by other negative energies.

These entities interfere with a person’s freedom of the mind, body
and spiritual sovereignty. They can interfere with your life by being in the body, by hovering behind the body, or by being in the personal environment. The desire of these spirits is to create confusion, take control, spread violence, cause emotional /physical pain and degradation and demeaning of humans

What Are the Signs of Attachment?

Entities and negative energies can have varying degrees of influence over their host, ranging from a mild energy drain to almost total possession (which is extremely rare).

Common signs are:

Hearing voices
Sudden cravings for alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, etc.– especially after surgery or a traumatic event
Sudden weight gain-especially after surgery or a traumatic event
Fears and phobias
Sudden changes in behavior-such as increased anger, depression and thoughts of suicide
Serious illness of unknown cause
Loss of energy
Memory and concentration problems
Unexplained physical problems-such as pain from an undetermined cause
Migraine headaches
Night terrors and nightmares
Panic or anxiety attacks
Multiple personalities

What Are Entities and Negative Energies?

Earthbound spirits, lower astral entities (astral fragments of the personality of the departed), and dark energy forces are the most common types of possessing entities. The spirit is the part of us that survives after death of the physical body. Sometimes spirits just don’t know what to do when their physical body dies, so they stay in the earth plane and can attach to living people, or remain in a specific place (thus a haunting spirit or ghost). Dark energy forces can be termed demons. They have never been alive in their own physical bodies, and are usually on a mission to destroy. Curses, psychic attacks and negative thought forms are negative energies generated by living people.

How Do They Get In?

In order for entities to attach to a human, that person must be vulnerable in some way. An earth-bound spirit may attach while the human is unconscious for any reason-be it trauma, anesthesia in surgery, a blow to the head, drunkenness, etc. Severe stress, exhaustion, grief, extreme anger, fear, or guilt can also open a person for attachment. Without proper protection, such things as channeling, mediumship, and automatic writing are open invitations for possession, as is being present at a seance, or using an Ouija board. Childhood abuse, rape, or incest can allow entities to attach. Sometimes, after the death of a loved one a person can unknowingly
invite attachment of that loved one with thoughts such as “don’t leave me. I don’t want to let you go.” Once an entity gains entry, a “hole” in the aura is in effect present, which allows for more attachments.

Hospitals, cemeteries, and funeral homes are common places to pick up entities. Spirits tend to sometimes hang around the place where their bodies died, or hang around the body itself. Negative energies such as psychic attacks and curses are generated by other living people.

Negative thought forms which we ourselves generate (such as fear, anger, jealousy and anxiety) can invite in and “feed” psychic attacks and curses. A form of spiritual healing known as Spirit Releasement is employed to clear a person of attachments and negative energies.

What Is Spirit Releasement/Exorcism?

Spirit Releasement, also known as depossession, is the process of releasing entities from living people. This can be done remotely (from a distance), or in person. Remote exorcism can be done without the conscious knowledge of the person on whom we are working, but permission is always requested from that person’s higher self before the procedure is undertaken.

In the Releasement /exorcism process, darkness is transformed into the golden light of the sun (inner alchemy) and entities, spirits, and other energies are released to their appropriate place in the Divine Light.

In cases of earthbound spirit attachment, the entity is simply made aware of its situation and lovingly guided into the Light, usually into the care of a loved one who comes to help in the transition. Curses and negative energies are removed by severing connections and transforming the energies from detrimental to beneficial.

Does This Really Help People?

Releasement has been very beneficial to many people, but it is not a cure-all. Once the entities are released, the problems that they had been causing tend to clear up quickly. The degree of improvement also depends on how much influence the entities have had on the host. Sometimes entities are released and the changes are so subtle that the person may notice no changes at all. This is simply because of the nature of the attachment. Unfortunately, Spirit Releasement is usually used as a last resort. I feel that releasing these entities can be quite effective before one spends a great deal of time on lengthy traditional therapy. Spirit releasement presents no
threat of danger or ill effects to a person. However, a person may sometimes feel tired for a day or so after the release has been accomplished.

What About Places That Are Haunted by Spirits or Negative Energies?

Spirits usually have a reason for haunting specific places; for instance: sudden death, or death from violent or traumatic causes. They may have “unfinished business” or “a score to settle.” They may be unwilling to give up their physical possessions. They may be confused or not realize they are physically dead. These spirits can also be released by remote means.

Negative energies may inhabit places for many different reasons. Places where violence or traumatic deaths have occurred may retain the overall energy of those happenings–battlefields, for instance. Homes where people constantly fight or argue with each other may retain the negativity of those actions.

An example of positive yet solemn energy clinging to a place is The Wall memorial to Viet Nam war casualties. This energy has been created by visitors to the memorial paying homage to their fallen comrades and loved ones.

Anger – Jealousy – Fear – Guilt

These are just a few examples of negative energies generated for various reasons. Negative thoughts take many forms and affect people in many different ways.

Psychic attack by another person (you may not even be aware of their feelings
toward you): Another person’s anger, jealousy or other negativity toward you may be strong enough to constitute a psychic attack on you. Conversely, your negativity toward others may psychically attack them, even without your conscious intent to “attack.”

Curses–an extreme form of psychic attack. People who practice the black arts
sometimes perform certain rituals to initiate curses.

Environments–places and objects–can harbor or hold residual vibrations from past negative actions associated with them–for instance, battlefields or disaster sites such as airline crashes.

Relationships that have ended unhappily or unpleasantly may leave negative

This article is about a specific grouping of negative subtle energies most commonly known as spirit attachments, cords, entities, and psychic attack. Though these energies can vary in power and potential effects, the overall philosophy of healing these concerns is the same. The process of clearing any of them from the energy field is generally referred to as spirit releasement.

It is an idea that many people are unfamiliar and uncomfortable with: might mental and physical illness be caused by spirits, disincarnate entities of various kinds? We live in a society where science has declared the invisible realms of spirits, angels and deceased souls are of fairy or fantasy books. But did they make a big mistake by doing so? People still report seeing and encountering spirits, ghosts, fairies and other spiritual creatures. Possession by spirit beings is still been reported, and in contrast to the movies it is not all evil. It is just a question of knowing what is going on and how to handle it. The following is based on accounts of different people who have successfully worked with identifying and liberating possessive spirits.

We know that symptoms of physical illnesses are caused by psychological factors as well as physical factors. But most of us are unaware that in a huge majority of cases,

The symptoms of our physical illnesses are caused first hand by spirits influence alone
Spirits influence have a big hand in aggravating the existing illness
Spirits influence are responsible for the non-response to adequate treatment in many cases.

Every day we are exposed to a multitude of so-called positive and negative energy influences. Some are created within ourselves and Others seem to come from around us via our interactions with people and events in our immediate lives and within the larger world community, as well as from a host of environmental sources such as weather, sound/noise, chemicals, toxins, water and food quality, and the like.

These influences play a large role in creating our state of health and well-being. If positive, we experience them as life-sustaining and enriching. Reversed, they can cause accumulations and stresses within our energy systems that weaken us, and which can lead to chronic and serious diseases and imbalances in the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels of our being.

As a healer we are often called on to help our clients and students to heal from the effects of these kinds of influences as they show up within the auric field. At these subtle levels, certain negative blocks and patterns can be found, which, over time, can have undesirable effects on the person’s health if left uncorrected. It is also a given that our own energy systems require the same kind of healing attention.

Spirit Release

The idea of entity possession could not have been further from my mind when I began to study Spirit Release Therapy. However the more I work with people and their problems the more I realise that spirit possession is indeed very real and occurring regularly in many unsuspecting cases.

When clients who are suffering from strange unexplained symptoms and memory loss come to see me, one of the ways I can help them is to determine whether they have attracted one or more of these fragments. Spirit attachments are always attracted to our own negative beliefs. So, the more depressed a person feels about him or her self the more that person is likely to have negative attachments with them.

Sometimes these are soul parts of long departed relatives who on some level are not aware that they have died. Or they may know they have passed but just cannot let go of the individual. They can be lost souls that were seen as ‘spirit friends’ when the person was a child or they can be something that drifted in at a time when someone was not fully in their body. These entities just need to be encouraged to go to the light where they can meet up with the souls of other people they love and with the higher part of them self, the part that never actually leaves the spirit world.

Spirit Release Therapy is the means used to assist with a condition known as spirit or energy attachment and plays an integral role within regression therapy. Spirit attachment happens when another energy, not belonging to your soul, enters your physical body or electro-magnetic energy field energy field.

The electro-magnetic energy field or aura is a field of energy which surrounds and penetrates our physical bodies and is something that we all have. The aura is designed to house our own energy, however there are times when external energies can become attached to our auras. We have all experienced occasions when we have felt other people’s emotions – whether they are joyful ones or less joyful ones; most of us have stood close to someone on public transport and noticed sensations from others that are not our own and have made us feel uncomfortable or anxious in some way. An external attachment is an “exaggerated” version of this, where that energy “stays around” in our aura.

On occasions, these external energies may affect our energy system in negative ways, and the anxiety, discomfort or other feelings stay with us, possibly draining our energy, causing detrimental health effects or influencing our rationale thinking in some way.

Often people are unaware of how these energies are affecting them, as the effect can be quite subtle, however others will dramatically impact the ‘hosts’ life causing them a number of unsettling signs and symptoms. These energies can attach under different circumstances however we are more susceptible if; we are unwell, highly emotional, have been in an accident or had a shock, been under anaesthesia or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

As someone who works with energy on a regular basis and especially as a regression therapist, it is often necessary to check for the presence of ‘other energies’ and remove any that are inappropriate for the client.

Spirit Attachments

In some cases attachments appear to be more malevolent. They appear to stay around people in order to cause harm, creating negative feelings of hate, terror, insecurity, pain, anxiety, fear and depression. The list goes on and on. However it is important to remember that these entities are always attracted to the negative side of us and usually they are frightened and afraid too. If we learn to let go of our negative emotions about ourselves and others, by becoming happy positive people, they will have nothing to cling to. So called ‘bad entities’ just need to been shown love and understanding so that they can be removed into the light where they are made safe and can no longer cause any harm to anyone including themselves.

Sometimes lost souls feel the need to recreate the addiction they had when they were living, like cigarettes, alcohol or drugs. This can produce enormous problems for the person they have latched on to, often making it impossible for him or her to give up an addiction. When these are collected and taken into the light it is much easier for the individual to let go of the addiction and get on with their life.

Spirit Release Sessions

The goal of a spirit release session is to remove the energy attachment, and to cleanse, balance and restore the person to optimum health and to prevent the problem happening again. It is a comfortable, safe and simple process. During the session we like to try and find the root cause of why the energy attachment joined in the first place, as there are occasions when it is an indication that something within us needs healing so that we no longer attract these energies to us.

After a spirit release session, clients often notice a considerable improvement in many areas of their lives such as increased energy and motivation, feeling of lightness and a return to higher levels of health. I recently had a client who comments after the session “My God, I feel a hundred years younger !!”

Every day we are exposed to a multitude of so-called positive and negative energy influences. Some are created within ourselves through our habitual thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. Others seem to come from around us via our interactions with people and events in our immediate lives and within the larger world community, as well as from a host of environmental sources such as weather, sound/noise, chemicals, toxins, water and food quality, and the like.

These influences play a large role in creating our state of health and well-being. If positive, we experience them as life-sustaining and enriching. Reversed, they can cause accumulations and stresses within our energy systems that weaken us, and which can lead to chronic and serious diseases and imbalances in the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels of our being.

The idea that spirits can be the cause of ill-health and other problems has been a common belief among healers since ancient times. Jesus was said to heal by casting out spirits, moreover, present day healers continue to work with the idea that misguided spirits can cause problems. A plethora of techniques exists to release spirits which vary in effectiveness.

Normally when a person’s body dies, the spirit goes up to the light to be healed and blessed. However, in some circumstances, a spirit will become confused and not go to the light right away. The entity may remain close to the earth plane and dwell around familiar people or places. The spirit may become affected by lower desires and try to create problems for people. Usually this involves taking people’s energy; causing them to feel weak. These spirits may cause confusion and other difficulties including poor health for the people they are in contact with. Sometimes they attach themselves to a person’s aura, creating negative influences, or they may be connected to a home, hotel, or other building. If you are working with a client on a specific issue that doesn’t seem to be clearing after several sessions, the client may have a spirit needing to be released.

The working assumption is that the spirit is confused in some way and that is the reason why they are causing problems. The spirit needs to be healed so it can go to the light.

Negative energies, such as spirit attachments, cords, entities, and psychic attack, are quite obvious to the person trained to recognize these kinds of blocks and patterns. Becoming more aware of such energies and how to release and transform them can be highly beneficial to the recipient’s health and well-being, both in the present and the long term. For example, we can help our client focus on healing the particular weakness in his or her energy field that allowed the attachment in the first place. This strengthens the energy system such that future attachments are not as likely to occur. Interestingly enough, the spirit also receives healing benefits, in that sending it to the light allows it to heal and move forward with its own evolution.

Another important benefit for our own healing has to do with being able to bring to the surface any conscious and unconscious fears and superstitions you may have around good versus evil, concerns over the need for protection, and impressions that have lingered of the more memorable stories that you may have read and movies you may have seen, such as The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby.

Reiki is a very powerful way to use after spirit releasement in that it very thoroughly cleanses the entire energy system and then fills it to saturation with Reiki energy. It is very effective and is like being inside a multidimensional aura wash, with Reiki being the wax that shines you up!

As well, the technique can be used at any time when a client who is dealing with other types of difficult situations where releasing accumulations of all kinds of negative energies is needed, followed by saturating the energy system with Reiki. In addition, we can use this technique from a distance and for self-healing. We can also use the technique both before and after a session to prepare and clear your own energy field and our healing room.

If the spirit was attached to a person, that spirit will not be able to come back after releasement and cause problems again. However, it is likely that the person had attracted the spirit to begin with, and therefore, could attract another spirit if this weakness is not healed. To complete the healing, it is necessary to help the person heal the reason they attracted the spirit in the first place. This can be done with regular Reiki. You can also use the distant symbol to direct Reiki to the area that allowed the spirit to become attached and do the healing.

The beauty of this technique is that it addresses several important healing objectives including releasing attached negative energies and entities, cleaning up and repairing the damaged energy system, healing the deeper causes of the client’s presenting issues, and bringing as much immediate symptom relief as is possible. Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative entity are released. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.
